Completely wrong valve, would suggest getting the correct part and hope the very flimsy wiring connections haven’t been damaged.

Sounds like you have reconnected wiring incorrectly and the condenser valve is not getting a feed when it is on the drying cycle.

Off the top of my head the wiring colours to the treble valve looking from front to back should be Black/Blue/White. That is assuming you have the later type of Indesit dispenser with the three valves all in line and slotted in under the end of the dispenser.

Is your this type or the earlier Hotpoint type valve with hoses going from each individual valve.

The full serial number of the machine would be a help.

Correct part number of valve is C00144007. It should not have been necessary to alter the connectors.

Hmm, found it but it says it should only display when machine is in test mode?

    Reverse relay failure

This fault code will only be shown when the test cycle is in operation.

The electronic controller has detected that the main drive motor can only run in one direction.

So he’s waffling on about something from a while back, not something recent apart from the dryer recall stuff?

What does he mean by the ‘Team forum’? Does he mean the moderator forum and if so how did he gain access to that?

More likely to be worn motor carbon brushes, don’t have access to my main PC. right now to double check but off the top of my head I think this machine does have a brush gear motor and not a 3 phase motor.

Remove the plastic condenser duct and you should then be able to take out the metal filter that appears to have come adrift. That should be available as a spare.

Really depends on where the break is and how many of the wires are damaged. Usually down by the left hand hinge but due to the age the wiring may be a bit brittle now. Harness NLA as a spare .

I am like you, a long time engineer, I didn’t stand over his shoulder.:) He did tell me that he had resealed most of the joint and put an invisible seal over the area of the original damage.

    Re: Washing Machine Door Seals

EPDM gaskets Hotpoint supplied them many years ago, we used to call the them the chip shop gaskets. In the days when gaskets were black rubber they used to disintegrate into a horrible gooey black mess in most catering establishments. They did however cost three or four times the cost of the standard seals, not seen any of them for years.
