Not sure if it is a glitch in the new software or intended. I have just edited a post I made just now, the edit was less than ten minutes after the original post but instead of editing the post a complete new post was added to the thread?

    IMPRESSIVE. 8)

The Plastic Surgeon tech called this morning, took him just over two hours.

Class operation from start to finish, if I had attempted to do this myself I dread to think what it would have ended up like.
As Eric Morecambe used to say to Ernie, “you can’t see the join”. 😀

Remove the outer door panel and check for breaks in the wiring harness.

Your machine may well have been made before 2004.

Part number for latchplate is C00201014, it is around £9.00

Re: Repair Creda T522VW or buy new?

This machine does not have an interlock, just a simple door switch, the one I linked to in my post so you can see the price of it there. Is the white plastic latch plate actually broken?
It is a bit of a squeeze but the switch can be replaced from above by removing the top panel.

Another thing to think about, your dryer will almost certainly be one of the dryers included in the recent safety recall. If it is you will get the full modification done by them, you may even be given a brand new dryer because at the moment they cannot clear the backlog.

    Check your model here. https://safety.hotpoint.eu/

You can buy a complete kit Suspension kit or individual legs which should always come complete with a new rod.

A bit of a long shot but you could try removing the flow restrictor, the small rubber ring that sits under the gauze filter. I often pull these out with some long nosed pliers if the water pressure is very low.

Re: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers

I have had three or four customers a week recently who had no idea there was a recall. I know the accepted recall take up is around the 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} mark for all types of recall, it just begs the question what would you do if the recall was for something that really was a major risk to life, limb and property, a mail shot to every home in the land???

The pressure sensor is situated between one of the pump outlet hoses and the lower spray arm. Never had to change one though.

The same error will flash if the circulation pump fails, not uncommon on Indesit dishwashers. 🙁

Re: Advice needed about my hot point Aquarius WD645 washer/d

Sadly that would rule out the mains filter which would have been a fairly inexpensive repair. 🙁

Could also be door interlock but examination is the only way to proceed, anything else is just pure speculation TBH.

You or someone with the necessary test equipment needs to first visually examine all the components starting with the mains filter, then the main motor and main circuit board. Then if nothing obvious is seen all components needs testing for insulation leaks.

Main motor is around £103 and the circuit board will cost you even more.

If it is under five years old it is covered by the five year parts warranty.

Did it trip the second time the instant you plugged it in or switch the plug socket on or was it after you switched the machine on?
