As mentioned above, the base is bone dry with no sign of a leak anywhere.

    Re: ISE 10 1607 cutting out/sticking?

Never really did get to the bottom of it. The fact that it sometimes worked and at other times failed totally made it difficult to pin down. Also the fact that I couldn’t get the diagnostics to run correctly didn’t help. In the end even the reset failed to have any effect and due to the ongoing problems due to the demise of ISE with no access to under guarantee spares the customer decided she had had enough. 🙁

Just checked and there are two different knobs depending on colour, the white one is a C00259848 and the Graphite ( dark grey ) is C00276236. Just hope it’s white, the list price of the white one is around £15 but the graphite one is £27. 😯

Hard to tell from the parts diagram but it does look like the simple pull off/push on fit. Try and pull the broken knob off with some pliers, if it is the easy one you will not need too much force to get it off. If you manage to do that you can then turn the control shaft with the pliers to other settings which will enable you to get it to wash.

Some of these knobs are just a simple pull off/ push on fit. Some need the front console removing and taking apart to get at the console pcb and knob.

If you can give me the full model number, serial number, and any other numbers you can find on the sticker inside the door I can find you the part number, well worth fixing.

Salford is butted right up to Manchester, there may have been a gap between them several hundred years ago but you can’t see the join nowadays.

At this time on a Friday night after a couple of glasses of wine that is a loaded question which could/should be answered by giving you the blunt but truthful answer, Indesit made machines are a load of ****.

If there are no lights flashing then it is really just guesswork from this distance, could be sticking touch buttons, faulty control module or faulty main module. The electronics in Indesit machines are about the flakiest on the market for sure. 🙁

Does the main rotary control knob appear to be sound, they are very prone to breaking and it is always possible it is stuck on the rinse setting with the knob spinning loose.

Slightly odd one this, diagnostics report last error as flooded base. Base was bone dry and float switch etc in good order.

This appliance stores the last three errors and they read, last error flooded base, 2nd to last, fill time out, 3rd last flooded base again.
I set it to wash and it actually worked but as it is on spring water I decided to check the fill vale/aquastop gauze filter. As I expected it was full of the brown, slimy sludge that you often get from spring water.

Not sure why it threw up flooded base but hey ho, it seems to be working fine ATM. 8)

A full back panel change would be no quick fix, even on the vented dryers, longer still on condenser ones.
