I have no idea what that last post is about?
I have checked and I have your email from 2011, still not home yet , will check if the manual has the thermistor ratings and if so send it to you. I would suspect that if the heater feed is cutting out like that it is more likely to be a pcb failure than the ntc?

Not easy without the model number TBH. There should be a rating plate or stuck on label inside the main oven door, sadly often peels off though.
THIS is by far the most common fan oven element for Hotpoint cookers, you could switch off the mains and remove the small inner back cover to see if yours looks like that one.THGIS is the genuine Hotpoint part.

Actual part numbers are C00227259 Polar White and C00224148 Natural Linen.

Syphoning, poor fill, OOB, customer error??
Have you actually timed it yourself? I had exactly the same complaint on a WD420 only last week. checked everything out, set it to a 40 degree wash and it took 1hr 45 mins which is the time stated in the manual, not had a call back since.
