And if you did call someone who advertised themselves as an electrician 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of them would suggest you called a domestic appliance engineer.. 😉

Plumber, PLUMBER, :rolls: would you contact a domestic appliance engineer if your toilet was leaking?

Door latch switch is a common failure on these, it’s inside the door at the top, be very careful if you open it up, be sure to remove the mains plug and watch the sharp edges.

Re: Hotpoint TCD970 Belt coming off pulley

Depends if you fitted genuine pulley or one of the cheap copies, they don’t last very long. You can check the rear drum bearing by removing the small plastic cover on the back to reveal the bearing, if you get a large amount of black dust falling out the the rear bearing and shaft may have failed.

    Re: Indesit pressure switch

If the lower end of the pressure hose is blocked then you are in trouble, the pressure hose is attached to the pressure chamber which on these machines is part of the totally sealed outer drum.

Lets just say that Indesit to Miele is as Amstrad is to Marshall. :rolls:

Capacitor listed on Partfinder as C00209519. 😉

Any bog standard 5uf capacitor should be fine.

Moved to correct forum, I guess Ken missed the fact that you posted this in the dishwasher forum.

You will only hear one click, the second circuit is for the overfill mode, it doesn’t click.

If it sticks like this as soon as you switch it on then that is a common main pcb fault.

If it does the first wash cycle then sticks in this way during the rinses without the drain pump running then it’s likely to be your plumbing.

    Or here, trade-technical/simple-pcb-repair-tips-t51155.html#p259090

Cheap, simple fix, make sure you get the polarity of capacitor correct when refitting.

    Re: Hotpoint LFT114

If it only started happening after you fitted the new motor then it suggests the new fault is related to something you have done. I don’t have any suggestions as to what though.

    Re: indesit iwc6165

it is possible to force the plug in the wrong way round with very little effort and if you are fitting the later white interlock in place of the red one then the plug should be reversed, sometimes you can squeeze it in, sometimes you have to snip off a lug.

Fitting the plug the wrong way round can damage the pcb. 🙁

Did you fit a new module, was it correctly programmed?

You are talking of £200’s worth of parts there on a real pile of junk.

Might not be helpful, but it was honest and accurate. 😛

F13, fault on dryer side, even when not in use it will self test. The dryer ntc is a known weak point but it can also be broken wires to ntc, blocked dryer duct, failed dryer fan etc.

On this model type the error codes are given by the BOTTOM five vertical lights counting UP from the bottom, lowest light is light 1 for error codes.
