ModeratorHmm, not clear from that pic, your guess could well be correct. The NRV is not as critical if the outlet drains into a standpipe. It is critical if the outlet hose is connected and clipped tight to the undersink plumbing.

ModeratorTop one is a thermistor, other three are stats. These stats usually fail due to poor air circulation or constantly stopping the dryer mid cycle.

ModeratorAlso make sure it is a thermostat and not a thermistor you are testing.;)

ModeratorI never had to change a door seal but have heard of the odd one leaking. Might best to wait until you have replaced the suspension units first.
