ModeratorRe: ZWF1221 Drum Seal Replacement
You have no idea just how amusing or daft most of the trade members find the ‘online vids’ :rolls:
An experienced engineer would fit this seal from the front without removing any panels. Using his/her skills built up over many years. 😉
You need perseverance, extreme patience and very strong wrists and fingers, there are no magic tricks.

ModeratorRe: Washing Machine: Miele Vs AEG?
Some info here on load sizes,
6kg is plentyThe Miele is a top quality German made appliance, the AEG is a rebadged Zanussi.
If I had the choice between a BMW,Audi, Merc v a rebadged Fiat I know which I would chose. 😉

If the sump is completely clear then it could be a fill valve failure.

Would you keep on driving your car if you had warning lights flashing on the dashboard, no point in waiting until further damage is done.;)

WMA11P is most likely.
Those lights flashing suggest a fill problem but it may be that the machine is clogged up inside. There is a sump filter inside the large black drain hose under the drum that can become blocked with all sorts of rubbish, ( none of which should actually have been in the machine in the first place TBH)
This would be the first place to check, also smells are usually caused by prolonged use of liquid detergents combined with constant low temp washes.

Correct model number would help, look inside the door or on the door hinge.

ModeratorRe: amica dishwasher
Did you actually test the original heater before changing it?
NB, the thermostat or NTC is rarely the cause of no heat. 😉

reaper wrote:The old Hotpoint 1700 series or the 95 series knock spots off any of the new driers they would dry a load in half an hour. The air coming out the back was like a gale force wind. Alright they only turned one way but there again was the reversair facility just really a marketing opportunity. Because these heat pump driers are on for longer times belts and bearings are going to wear out quicker(work for us especially if hotpoint do a version).
The single direction dryer was fine unless you had a couple of sheets in it, one would dry perfectly, the other would be rolled up tight into a ball and not dried. So not a marketing opportunity but a sound design change, my Hotpoint TL51 still works perfectly.
PS. Hotpoint/Indesit have produced a heat pump drier for some time now. :rolls:
The base unit is a real snip at £230.99. :eeek:

I was going to ask the same question Cliff, wasn’t sure if there was a pattern one for this though. Never had a gen one fail like that.

It is something I have seen on rare occasions, one other one was a bloke who was a fitness fanatic and I suspect some of the rubs he used in his warm ups had a chemical reaction with the float.

No, that is still the only one listed.

ModeratorRe: Is it a Hotpoint RZ84N freezer?
Whilst it does look as though you may have identified the correct unit the news is not good.
The seal is part of a complete door assembly which is itself now obsolete. 🙁

ModeratorRe: ISE 5-2 Vestel door seal
I only ever tried to order one in the past, it was on a machine I was doing a bearing job on, sadly the seal sent out to me at the time was the wrong one. 🙁
Didn’t know that some Amica were Vestel???
