Re: Motor needed for Indesit Tumble Dryer Model IS70C

I have changed a few of these door interlocks and also had to replace the door latch once or twice, usually without further problems though. Your serial number is after the relay/pcb was discontinued.

The relay/pcb is part No: 145 in this diagram.

It was removed after serial number 60327.0000 when a new type of door lock was introduced.

You are trying to fit the correct door interlock as they are not interchangeable? Correct part is a C00195695.

What is the serial number of your dryer?

Should also mention that the motor also changed at some time during production. 😉 However I am as convinced now as I was at the start that there is nothing wrong with the motor.

It still points to a door lock problem.

Re: ISE 23W Washing machine problems

There is no ‘oil hole’ on this or virtually any washing machine bearings.

The bearings are not expensive and are quite a straightforward change if done in good time.

With reference to the hose chafing I always stretch the small spring at the back, this helps to prevent the drum catching the dispenser hose.

Does your machine have a digital display with yellow numerals?

If it does then F05 is a heater or ntc fault, neither are major problems. The bearings can be replaced , not expensive but quite a bit of work involved .

That’s your ‘opinion’. but in my ‘experience’ of the 30 or more ISE 10’s that I have installed over the last six years only one has had a genuine repair, and that was due to very heavy use. All the other calls have been due to user error or misuse.

However, as ASKO machines more often than not last 15 to 20 years and more perhaps he didn’t know what he was talking about.

Bosch/Neff/Siemens built in would be the next best option.

They are all made to a high standard, if you can get a ten year warranty on that model and its features suit your purpose why not. Just do a comparison on spin speeds etc. Any load size over 6kg is unnecessary TBH.

Apart from not being able to refit the door/decor panel, as long as it fits in the hole then other than aesthetics no problem at all.

A Miele to replace an Indesit made machine, that’s not lazy, possibly the best decision you will make this year for certain. 😉

Do which ever you find the best, it’s in a stupid position and is a real PITA to get at. They did move it later and mounted it flat on the base.

Part number is C00256546. There is nowhere local you can go and buy one of these. A quick Google for that part number will get you plenty of results but TBH buying it direct from Indesit is probably cheaper than a lot of the online spares places. List price is around £17.50 inc vat.

Or better still Right here 😉

You can’t really check the turbine. It’s part of the squarish plastic chamber on the side. Not expensive and simple to change.

They do come with a peel off strip to reveal the sticky side if my memory is correct.
