Very common on Hotpoint as well, basically cr*p connection blocks. I always refit with three AMP tags. Often throws up F06.

Don’t worry about the filter, if it is not there so much the better, a constant source of problems.
A faulty fan would give exactly the problems you have, assuming of course there is a feed and return to the motor.
Two different fan motors fitted, see if you can pick the bones out of this picture.

Perhaps this picture will give you a better idea of the position of the filter, it just lifts out. On some machines the hose to filter was removed and only the condensor flushing hose was fitted. The filter was still installed though.

Hmm, says it 1950’s vintage but I’m not so sure. They still made these until there was a major change in safety legislation. Interlocks or other devices had to be fitted to all machines and it was impossible to do that with the wringer machines. If my memory serves me correctly that legislation came in in the early 70’s and looking at the ‘Hotpoint’ label and the push buttons on that suggests a mid 1960’s machine to me. ❓

The gauze I refer to sits right at the back, accessible once you have removed the heater box. It usually has a small grey plastic hose attached. lift it out and cut out the gauze windows.
Whilst you have the heater box off, open it and check for free spinning fan.Your first post says that you read the thermistor resistance as Oohms. 😉
It should be ‘around‘ 20kohms at 20C, 25 to 26kohms is quite acceptable. If the cut out failed you either have a blockage or a faulty fan. If you look very closely at the tiny end of the fan motor shaft you can see if it is turning or not.

The forward ‘thermistor’ is actually a cut out thermostat, not a thermistor. 😉
The reading on the thermistor is fine, you are misreading something.
If you had been rinsed four times in cold water at the temperature it comes out of the tap in winter you would also be very cold and wet. The wash heater is not used for the rinses.
It sounds like it may be blocked again or the fan is failing.
If you clean out the fluff filter at the back you should cut out the small gauze mesh windows, remove them completely.

If it was the capacitor it would tend to make a humming noise when it stops, could be timer or relay.

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint Condenser Drier
Look on the side of the capacitor for its rating, it will be either uF7 or uF8. Or less common uF7.5.

The connector is not available. The best thing to do is to cut off the old connector plug AFTER first making a careful note of the position of each wire. Then re connect using individual female AMP tags, available from Maplins, Amazon etc. Just insulate the middle tag and you then have a far better connection than the original ones.
Replacement interlock may look different but it will be interchangeable. If the original is located with two plastic lugs then you will have to obtain two suitable screws to refit the new one.
Be sure to remove the mains plug first. :zap:

No, you need to check the wiring to the heater and NTC first. It could just be a simple broken wire, if wiring is intact the heater and ntc need testing with a suitable multimeter or megger. I think there has been a link to the tech info posted, possibly in an ISE 10 thread. A bearing change is quite an involved job requiring complete drum removal. Not a bad job once you have done several. 🙂

It is just an Indesit in a dress. 🙁

ModeratorRe: Indesit IWB5113 Error Code
You ignore the top light, only the bottom five used. You have F06 which is listed as not used. We do now know however that F06 is a door interlock related fault.
Very poor wiring connections on these budget machines, quite commonly burn out at the door interlock.

Error codes are HERE
Ignore the flashing lights and count the vertical lights from BOTTOM to TOP.
The graphic used has the lights shown numbering from right to left. 😉iadom

Green, yellow, it’s all down to,perception. Is the display window a small black one that only displays large digits, or is it a larger pale display with multiple programme information details in the window?
