ModeratorRe: df 61 tripping
Should it actually be a Hotpoint machine I do have a copy of the manual if you want it.

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint stuck on drain?
I suppose one other possibility in theory is the pressure switch sticking on overfill but can’t see how that could have happened, he didn’t tilt the machine to drain the pump. :con:

I wonder why people don’t give a make as well as a model. 🙁
Hotpoint have a DF61 is this one of those? If it is then it’s a bog standard Bosch design with sealed base. Side panels off to access heater terminals etc.
Also moved to correct forum, this is not a General Trade question.;)

For the wiring between heater and pcb a simple continuity test, but you should have tested the element for continuity, resistance and insulation before you changed it. It is however pointing towards a main pcb failure or if you are very lucky a pressure switch fault.

Well, well, well, United’s dismal draw at Cambridge looking like a good result now as SAINTS, SPURS, City and Chelsea all bombed out of the cup on their own grounds by lower teams..:rotfl:

I gave you good advice in my last post but you make no mention of actually testing the heating element .
Did you test the heater before you replaced it?If you do not have access to proper test equipment and the knowledge to use them you should not be putting your hands inside any piece of electrical equipment full stop.

Au contraire, I have never, ever used the phrase ‘unicorn poo’ in respect of a machines quality. As I have already stated it is a stupid and incorrect term used by people too lazy to actually think about what they are writing, it should not be used to describe something of poor quality. As the Unicorn is a mythical beast if you really did have some Unicorn Poo it would be beyond value.
Unicorn Poo means something does not exist, it does not mean it is rubbish. 😛

B*llocks, building machines with parts sourced outside the country goes on worldwide, and has done for fifty years or more in every branch of manufacturing. If they are employing people in this country to assemble them then more power to their elbow.
