Probably about the same number of UK made parts as any UK made machine of the last fifty years. 😉

I well remember a motoring article many years ago. They showed a picture of a Ford Granada, a Vauxhall Senator and a Volvo 245 and asked the question, “which is the British car” . Turned out that the Volvo had more UK made parts than the other two put together. 8)

Those clips are OK for certain seals but the long screwdriver through the door lock is far and away the easiest and quickest method for this machine. It really is a matter of seconds to refit the clamp using this method. 8)

Wait until you get one of the later machines with the thin wire and spring type of clamp on the drum. :rolls:

You need a suitable multimeter or megger to test the wash heating element. Also need to carefully examine all the wiring connections to the element.

Only if you have the special software supplied to company engineers.

The hardware key will allow the machine to be put into test mode but that gives you the same info as any flashing light error codes. 🙁

Motor on top of the drum is a good idea, easier access, no water ingress damage, wonder why no one else has tried that in the past.;) 8)

Apart from loose wiring connections it could be either pcb, you did fit the cocrrect heater, there are two different ones which are not interchangeable.

Also two different pcbs for both main and facia.

Main one will also need programming first, smart card and card reader needed for that.

    Re: Hotpoint Aqualtis seal clamp?

I can confirm it is the correct part. Had a new seal to fit to a 13 month old Hotpoint this afternon before I went to the Aqualtis, that had this new type of clamp on it.

It’s a PITA to refit, best way I found was to feed the wire over the top of the seal allowing the spring to lie at the bottom. Using the long screwdriver through door lock hole trick to hold one side I managed to refit to both machines but it hurts your fingers somewhat. :rolls:

    Re: Hotpoint Aqualtis seal clamp?

Definitely correct part number and the small spring on this wire clamp is about five inches long and slightly thicker than the one that fits on the front of the seal. I will know for certain this afternoon if I manage to get out, snowing heavily just now.

I have replaced countless numbers of that capacitor with around 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} success rates.

It pays to read the interesting stuff 😉

Never seen it before. :eeek: Its one of the most common failures on Indesit washer pcbs, what did you search for?
