Re: Fault Code Guide subs update N/A?

I was just checking that all of my apps worked after the iOS.8 update and looked at random pages. On lots of them the letters rn or rnrn had been inserted into the text at various places.

Look at Amica, AWC with lcd, …..E54, several rn’s in that one. Or the Baumatic BDW13 Quick function test, that is littered with rn’s.

Just noticed that all the pages on the guide are full of rn, rnrn, or even rnrnrn’s all over the place. Has that just happened recently?

I can get you the part numbers but have never found a customer stupid enough to pay for a PCB repair on one of these and have never had a smart card reader either. 🙁

It does need programming, pretty certain the port is at the front.

There are two different modules for this machine, also three smart cards not interchangeable.

Full serial number and commercial code needed to ID correctly.

How hard did you look? Perhaps if you had looked for a BFI ( for integrated ) and not a BF1. 😀

    Here they are. 😉

Looks like a classic heater or pcb fault. 🙁

A long shot but worth checking the wall socket or trying it in another socket if you can.

I once had the exact same fault due to a dodgy mains socket.

A close visual test is usually all that is needed, other possible causes are wiring harness faults, often inside the door.

It is a 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit machine with the pcb, heater and main motor all known weak areas. 🙁

First thing to check is the mains filter, close to where the mains cable enters the machine.

Complete drum kit mod is C00145650, you must fit the 16mm rear foam seal in place of the original 26mm seal.

This is despite my hard sell to the managers on ISE machines

No idea who owns the place, they paid me in cash for resetting the TOC, tripped due to clogged condensor. :rolls:

ISE sales will be even harder quite soon. 😉

Not sure but I seem to think there are different sizes of shaft used, also some have an alloy spider, some a cast iron one.

If everything is completely clear and clean then the capacitor would be my guess. They will appear to start to tumble even if it is failing sometimes.

Easiest way to test is to remove the lid and try and hold the drum with one hand pressed against it, if the capacitor is failing then you will need very little pressure to hold the drum, if it is OK then it will be very hard to stop it from turning.

Re: are the modules interchangeable on the old wma hotpoints

The one from a WMS38 will fit, just needs programming for a WMA40. Never really bothered to find out what the differences are as always fitted the correct one then programmed it to the model it was fitted into. Never had a shop or uplifted machines so didn’t build up a stock of used modules either.

As far as I know you cannot re code the different pcb’s to fit any WMA, only program them for the various models they are designed to fit.

Do you have the programming list for the 1604321 pcb, can send it you if you don’t.

Well it looked like money well spent today, fantastic atmosphere in the ground and a great reception for Rio. for a team with so many new players in the side United did play really well in midfield and attack. You could still have driven a coach and horses through their defence though, thankfully QPR came on a rocking horse. 😛

    Far sterner tests await.
