ModeratorCan you give us the full serial number, DYN9154DP isn’t recognised and DYN9154 brings up two models which both have the large main pcb at the top, right hand side (from front). They also show a module in the base but there are several versions of that so full serial number is essential.

ModeratorYou are actually missing some numbers from IDFUK. 😉 All faults ‘should’ display an error code by flashing certain lights on the front. Without those we are left with very little to go on save for guessing at main board failure etc.

ModeratorCan you give us the full PNC number (begins with 914) from inside the door please.
Basic error codes here. https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/fault-codes/laundry-fault-codes/3068-zanussi-washing-machine-error-codes

ModeratorSounds like a failed capacitor, if you push the drum with the lid off does it then start to turn? Capacitor is not expensive but a bit of an a**e to change on these. 🙁

ModeratorGood grief Dave, you must have some HUGE lice in your area.:)

ModeratorWithout a proper part number there is no way to be certain that drum will fit. I certainly wouldn’t risk £50 on a drum that claims to be genuine but doesn’t include a part number.

ModeratorVery slight earth leakage can cause all sorts of weird faults, the dryer element on Zanussi made washer dryers is another well known cause of several spurious error codes when it goes down to earth.
Thanks for coming back to confirm the diagnosis. 🙂April 2, 2019 at 3:19 pm in reply to: We need a mechanic for a White Knight gas tumble dryer – NW London #461091iadom
ModeratorThe part number for the drum is 4213-092-44071. The only link I can find is THIS one. if you add the labour charge on top which will be quite considerable as this is a major strip down you may well find it is almost as much as buying a new one. ;(

ModeratorThat model would certainly have a drum that can be opened to replace the bearings. There is however a good chance that the drum shaft may well have been damaged as well if it has been noisy for some time. If you do want to try and repair it then the best thing to do would be to stop using it ASAP and strip it down to see exactly what state it is in or if you can even get the bearings out. You should do that before ordering any parts.

ModeratorA proper model number might help if you have it. 😉
There is one bearing kit in the site shop that fits a lot of old Hoover machines.

ModeratorDepends on the soiling on the clothes but tbh I will only use a good quality powder and would never wash anything at 30C unless it was more or less clean and just wanted a freshen up. I use green box Ariel for whites etc and purple box powder for coloureds. Minimum temp of 40C for colours and 50 to 60C for whites.
