Re: ISE 1606W spin cycle not working

Very odd and not something I have ever witnessed.

It would point to either a motor or main pcb problem TBH. πŸ™

Re: Do Zanussi still do Jetsystem washing machines?

Jet system was really just a gimmick that made little or no discernible difference to wash performance TBH. Similar to the Samsung β€˜Aquabubble’ , the domestic appliance version of snake oil.

A lot of current Zanussi machines are now made in China and all of them have the sealed outer drum. πŸ™

When you say β€˜the display goes off’ does it go completely blank or are you left with three dashes in the display?

What happens if you try the machine completely empty, will it reach full spin speed then?

Sadly as Martin has already stated, Zanussi made with a totally sealed drum. πŸ™

Just pop the lid off and look around the centre line of the plastic outer drum, if you see lots of screws all the way round it is not a welded drum.

At that age though it is 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain it will have a welded drum.

If you give us the product or Pnc number we could check, Pnc number begins with 914******.

No Martin, for some reason one or two public posters recently have taken to starting a new thread asking exactly the same question as they have already posted only days earlier. πŸ™

    I have merged them.

    Re: Washing Machine Height Help!

I have merged your threads, no point at all in opening another thread when your first one has had an answer.

As already stated it is not safe to operate your machine without the top on and a wooden top is not really suitable.

A thin sheet of metal, secured by several self tapping screws could be a possible fix.

Re: ISE10 heating element wont budge

Have you removed the small nut securing the heater plate?

Sometimes unscrewing this nut until it is at the very end of the threaded shaft and then tapping that shaft and nut back into the drum helps. Failing that then it is just a matter of perseverance with a flat bladed screwdriver to prise out the rubber grommet. TBH this heater is by far one of the easiest I have ever had to remove compared to some, especially those with plastic drums.

You will have to lift the lid Lawrence, two different types of dispenser, apparently not serial number specific. πŸ™

Although reading further the one with the valves integrated is NLA so you need kit no:

    Moved to correct forum. πŸ˜‰

You are missing a number 1 on your first model, sadly it does have a sealed drum.

    Should be a ZW171401WA. πŸ˜‰

The fact you are still looking more than 12 months later should give you an idea of the current state of the industry. πŸ™

Why not pay a visit to the WTA Conference, it is quite near you and would possibly give you some contacts and good networking opportunities.

Changed the roller brush and the end bearing unit which did appear to have a bit of play in it.
Still making a loud whining noise though, guessing a motor assy will be pricy?
