Re: Bosch Classixx7 Door Gasket / Silicone Seal Ring

There are very few if any seals on recent machines that can be reversed. Certainly no Bosch ones of recent vintage can be turned round.

If the seal had a piece missing on the lip then that has been caused by careless, in a rush loading of the machine. The door has been closed with some part of the clothes hanging out. 🙁

Sadly very few trade members will have even seen one of these appliances, let alone know about the error codes.

Could well be that like the Homeking company owners previous ventures, it has gone west.

If you Google for any of these appliances you will see them listed as unavailable or out of stock.

Possibly a Chinese made appliance but identifying exactly who made it is not easy.

Answer is in the Known Error Codes thread. 😉

Any noises are usually bad news on their own, coupled with an F08 fault which is ‘supposed’ to be a fault on the main circuit board it could well be time to replace this machine.

Thanks, fortunately he put it in himself so is going to drag it out before I go. 8)

Switches ‘empty water’ light on cuts out heater, stops main motor on some models. It works in various ways but the pump does run continuously.

Pump does/should run continuously, just the consequence of using cheap components like 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the market.

Machine is subject to a fire safety recall, has yours been done?

If it is the relay then the machine will usually keep running if you hold the start button in, but stop as soon as you release it.

We would need the pnc or product number to try and identify, or you could try the Element Man.

Also, using a vented dryer with the hose going up and away from the dryer in very cold conditions can lead to condensation building up inside the vent hose, this allows water to run back into the dryer.

I have seen dryers in garages with the vent hose completely full of water and soggy fluff. This will also cause poor drying results.

Posts merged, you don’t mention if the ‘apparent’ current leakage occurred before or after your attempted repair?

Two different pumps listed, one you certainly won’t want. 🙁
Before date code 31 pump is a C00197070 listed at £97.00

After date code 31 pump is listed as C00197110 a more reasonable but still not cheap £37.00.
