If you move the dial manually it will always go rotate back to the orginal program you selected.
Cancel the program by switching off and turning selctor to any one of the 5 dots on the selector knob then switch the machine on. this will cancel the program. try the program again and see what happens. If the dial starts to continuously rotate there is a fault. Count the number of flashes as this relates to what the fault is

    Re: Indesit Franchise

Im a indesit engineer who works for the company. My best mate is a franchise engineer and he would not go back working for the company as i do. He does plenty of his own private calls on other makes and has an account with electrue.
Our respective first time clearance rates are 87{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} for him and 92{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} for myself.
His own private work brings him in an extra £4000+ a year.
We frequently discuss the plus and minuses of how we both work and to be honest if I could afford to go franchise I would. It’s down to what you make of it after all it is your own business you are setting up.
Van stock is something we both keep on top of, no garages full of boxes. For a franchise engineer if you have stock sitting gathering dust in a garage never being used its money being wasted. My mate sends excess stock back regularly after all he has been charged for the parts sent out to him so if not needed they go back and he gets refunded.
Its what you make of it at the end of the day. it pees us both off that there are engineers that never seem to get more than 75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} first time clearance and they get paid the same as me. We are lucky to have a good supervisor who actively encourages ways of increasing clearance rates. I wonder what an engineer who gets 75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of jobs cleared would think and do if he was a franchisee?
Sorry if I have rambled on its bascially down to what you are prepared to do make it all work for you. I would certainly look at other brands at the end of the day saying no to a customer who has a blocked pump on say a hoover or zanussi is losing you that extra £30.
find out what other independents are charging in your area. I know of one who charges £60 per callout in an area I work. No wonder he drives a merc.

Did the original one you need to replace have J10 connection? if so C000143056 is the correct board

If the board they have supplied you with does not have J10 do not fit it!!! The board you have is it C00145013 by any chance?

What they have done is changed, for a 3rd time, the dryer heater box. The latest version has now got the hot flushing valve back on it hence the change of board. If its any consolation it confuses me and I work for the company

Not fun trying to stretch a belt 55mm to fit on a motor. If the length of the belt was increased by 25mm there would still be enough tension in it and it would also eliminate other problems encountered.

Im afraid you assume wrong. My ticks were both in no box and I voted to accept pay rise last year. Annoys me that given a chance to decide a lot of the union members did not sorry I’ll rephrase that could not be bothered to send their papers back. I would say that if they dont vote they must be happy with pay rise.
I know its not just about pay rise but Im not in a position where I want to take industrial action whether it be strike or work to rule.
I have enough going on at the moment with my wife having cancer without this too. So come the day of action I will be working

News is that they have voted to take industrial action short of going on strike. Cant wait to see what that action will be but I for one will not be joining them!!!

Bloody hell Jim we’re agreeing on things. Seen to be green but not as green or should that be brown as in the gunge found when you take a drum out and find that lovely mixture of limescale and old powder mixed together and liberally plastered within the inner drum.
Ok being energy and enviromentally conscious. I make a point of showing customers the inside of the machine with drum out just so they can see what is in there in with their clothes. love to see the expressions on their faces

    Wash your mouth out Jim!!
No one does maintenance washes these days thats why there is all the brown gunge round the door seal and mildew spots on door seals too. mention it to customer and they just at you funny. i wonder if the makers of aerial realise what they are doing by saying turn down to 30 deg washes?
I’ve got a drum off an indesit W113uk in shed, plastic tank version with backplate. Drum support snapped on all 3 legs.

I think the phrase we’re looking for is false economy.
    belt £8.45

    pulleys £4.03 each
    belt £8.11
So all it takes is one belt change and you hit hit the cost of the parts you’ve done away with by not fitting pulleys. On top of that the cost of getting the engineer there if belt goes with in 1st year.

Forgot to add on cost of belt fitting tool £34

    Re: HOTPOINT VTD20G T/D

Like i said helo its not rocket science if a belt snaps because it has to be stretched 55mm something has to give. The belt you fitted in place of 1703666 is a better belt. I know a few engineers who fit them. If the belt was only streched 25 mm it would not cause the problems and there would still be enough tension to drive drum quite merrily.
Question; How do you get the powers to be to reliase this fact?

Never changed front spring always rear one as its made of thinner steel. Turn drum by hand if it rumbles its bearings drum support could other possibility

I know on the vented dryer they changed to a 9 rib belt as opposed to the 6 rib one.
Question 1 ; If the belt is now 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} wider does it mean it will last longer before it snaps again?
Ok I know i work for the company but to me the belt should have been lengthened. The belt has to be stretched 55mm so it will fit on the motor shaft. The rear bearings wear and snap drum shafts and wear front bearings away due to the tension in belt. Not rocket science is it. Actually its one of newtons laws.
