    Re: Greedy Whirlpool prices

Sad isn’t and something specifically designed to hurt the UK market as you can buy that part number from Whirlpool Poland for 9 euros.

Sadly they won’t ship to UK but it shows how the UK entity think they can treat us.

Then you will know its not a fault code and you need to start testing components until you diagnose the problem.

I will provide no further assistance so Good luck with it.

    Re: CDA CW494 constant flashing

The flashing light is a fault code, how many times does it flash before repeating itself? There will be a pause once the sequence ends and it begins again.

If you can tell me the number of flashes then u can give you the fault being reported and you can go from there.

Don’t worry Jim, I am a big boy and can take it.

I simply become frustrated when people think experts on Hotpoint/Indesit like you are expected to sit at a pc waiting to answer their problems when they don’t even give the basics of a model and serial number or even explain their level of experience to allow the guys on here a glimmer of a chance of helping them and moan about the lack of answers when in fact they are ignoring messages sent to them.

You have more patients than me.

    Regards anyway,

You are quite pathetic aren’t you, and your post does nothing but demonstrate it for all to see.

    Re: USELESS FORUM

    Well Ray,

I would say, stick your hand in your pocket and pay for the expert advise you want instantly, Hotpoint charge £105 I believe, but I doubt you will get same day/next day service from them either, or better still train yourself to do the job like the rest of us.

My preference would be that you disappear from this site permanently as clearly your not suited to understanding that we provide our services on a voluntary basis which basically means non of us are here at your beck and call.

Mike tut tut, you know propa street speak like wot I does would be “your pub is sh1t and all da peeps who work in da crib are idioties init.” 😀 😀

Seriously though, you do have a reasonable point, you cannot really expect to be helped by those you go out of your way to insult and calumniate. :eeek:

    Re: The 0800 Thread

    PGS

Bagman hasnt seen the post, his last logon was 31st August, Mike’s post was 1st September.

In any event, releasing any customer identifiable details on here WITHOUT that customers prior written permission will be a breach of the DPA so I guess he wont do it and if he does, and I find it, I will moderate it, to protect this site.

Of course the DPA protects many aspects of confidentiality but that allows posters to post items which cannot be verified or even looked into thus, to some extent we must take such instances with a large pinch of salt. After all, it is the reason this forum is called The Rumour Mill

From my experience of 0800 Repair, if Bagmans post is correct, and I have no evidence either way, then I am pretty sure 0800 Repairs management would have dealt with it in a professional and courteous manner for the end user, which of course we are most unlikely to discover.

As none of us we in the property at the time the alleged 0800 repair representative called, we have no idea what actually went on, what he actually did or didnt do, what he found and what the customer said or didnt say to him. Sadly its all conjecture and rumour I am afraid.

We have all had customers whom expand the truth to suit their needs, blame someone else for their bodge ups and such like. I am not saying this is what happened here, but unless we were in the room at the time, we are never going to find out.

With this in mind I see little point in trying to further this but if Bagman feels he wishes to take up Mikes offer, he can PM him the details.

Like me and many others on here, Mike has the ability to communicate directly with the Directors to relay the information on if need be.

I know Mike is one to ensure that if a problem exists which is causing the name of 0800 Repair to be drawn into disrepute, then he will do his best to ensure the appropriate action is taken to resolve it.

Show me any single trade poster on here that states he hasnt cocked a job up somewhere in his life and I will show you a liar. Whats important when we get it wrong is how we deal with it afterwards.

    Regards to all
