    Under the filter at the front there is an NTC, these get crudded up. Also if they are in a cold garage or outhouse they wont work, Im sure this is the machine we had loads of grief with last winter.

    Yes I had one doing that myself a few weeks back and cured in exactly the same way, unfortunately this one isnt playing ball!

    I can only think it must be module, i have tried everything else! New NTC, heaters ok, wiring got no breaks etc…

    Hi all,
    Sorry to bang on about this one but, I have replaced NTC but still the same. I have checked out all the normal culprits, element, valves etc and still no joy. I have postd below a pic of the fault code display, I calnt find it anywere. I have got a feeling it must be PCB?

    It could be the NTC, they dont always give a fault code.

    it’s the 3 across the top, the 3 from top to bottom on the left handside are off.

    A waste carriers licence was basically what I was expecting to have to get, I havnt got aproblem with that but then I read about this weee thing and it knocked me for six to be honest.

    Another quick Weee scenario then, I buy a dishwasher say off ebay, its somebodys waste isnt it? Hows that work?

    All very frustrating!

    Re: W/Knight 767C Cond T/Dry – overheating

    I do loads of these, in fact I did one today.

    The best way is to take of the rear banjo panel, then tackle the fan, bolt out and a few hefty tugs sould free that.
    Then remove all screws from around outer panel and remove the heater cover, disconnect the heater and remove the 3 drum bolts, I then carefully rest the panel on top of machine out of the way, then you will see that there are acouple of metal slides holding the fan cowling,take them out and remove cover, giving access to motor shaft.
    Slide belt of drum and then take drum out, you will see stat at front.
    To put it back together is easier than you may think, its a bit fiddly but its not that hard. I always put the belt on the drum, put drum back in and stretch belt back over the shaft then put cover back on. The hardest bit is next, put rear panel back and replace a couple of screws at top just to hold it, grab the drum and line up bolt plates and replace bolts (thats the fiddly bit!) and then adjust drum until it sits right, the rest is easy once thats done.

    I hope this helps, its really hard to try and explain it! But its really not that bad to be honest, fiddly is more how I would describe it!

    Redings below:

    20 Degrees Celcius = 58.1 kohms
    25 = 47.1
    30 = 38.2
    40 = 25.4
    50 = 17.2
    60 = 11.8
    70 = 8.3
    80 = 6
    85 = 4

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Scrap & Weee

    Hi all, sorry to bring this subject up again! I am pulling my hair out looking through this lot.
    Here are MY circumstances. After being made redndant back in July I have been buying raw appliances and Reconditioning them, Im doing ok at it so far to, its paying the bills at least.
    However I have come across this post and Im worried! I buy raws from up north (via another poster on UKW) and also get the odd machine from our local tip and customers old machines that they are replacing with one of my recons. I work from my garage at home, adequate (just) whilst I am starting out.
    Reading through this it seems I am going to need a waste carriers licence?
    A nightmare and an expense I can ill afford right now, will I get one considering I am working from home?
    Any scrap that I do have, I ring the local scrap man and he collects so I never have any lying around, again not good according to what I have read on here!
    For me the only thing the Wee directive has done is to stop what would have been another landfil stat being RECYCLED and giving another couple of years use to those less fortunate than most, surely this is a government obsessed with recycling and against thereown principles?
    Any advice would be appreciated.
