    Re: Whirlpool American style F/F

The wiring loom runs through the freezer door and out to the hinge at the top. You can get to the wiring also behind the ctrl panel at the front (take out the 2 screws under the drip tray) if the fault is within the door itself you will need a new door (expensive!) I would also check the wiring to the PCB at rear.

Take off the hinge cover at the top of the freezer door and check the connections on the terminal block, that will cause the ‘CF’ and flickering if the boards are ok. Also make sure the boards are the correct ones.

    Hi Alro,
Remove lamp cover and there is a screw, after you have taken that out slide the whole casing back towards you. Bit awkward but easy enough.

The most likely is the main pcb, take the front of the drawer off and you will see the main board at the top right, the front panel comes off by taking out the 2 pins either side. O/C element causes this fault to, you can test it at the same pcb.

    Hi Martin,
The part number you need is: 481221470046
That is for the programmed Ctrl Board, the unprogrammed version (you need a SAM to programme it) is virtually half the price.
    Not cheep either way.

f6 (6 x flashes) is ‘water tap closed’. Make sure you water inlet hose isnt kinked and water is turned on. If these are ok there are also a few other things it could be. water pressure, flowmetre failure, inlet valve.

Nope, you are going to have to stick the heating on or move it to a warmer place.

This is a common fault on Whirlpool washers. The squeeling comes from the grease that was used in the manufacturing of the bearing i believe, it wasnt compatable. The only real cure is a bearing change to be honest 😥

f11 indicates a failure to the water level indicator. It is most likeley to be gunged up. To find it remove the filter tray and you will see a round plastic grid type affair this is the wi switch, if it is gunged up use boiling hot water and a toothbrush and carefully clean, dont be to harsh else you will damage it. This should solve the problem in most cases.

    Re: White Knight 76aw T/dryer

Hi, the problem is caused by the gasket at the back of the blower fan at the bottom rear of the machine. W/K replaced the old type seal at back of fan for a gasket type affair which pops out or splits causing heat to escape up the back and warp the switch. If you replace the gasket with the old type seal and replace the switch it solves the problem.

If its flashinf 4 times you have an F4 fault which is a no drain fault. Check the obvious things, trapped drain hose, blockage in sump etc.
