Re: hotpoint EW93K beeping when off

Had similar fault years ago with timer alarm on a Cannon gas cooker.
Always turned itself on at 5.30 in the morning and at other odd times.
    Replaced timer but fault continued.
One day customer was up early in kitchen when the boiler fired up on its timer. Cooker alarm went off as well.
Found both cooker and boiler were plugged into same double power point. Plugged into different points and the fault never happened again.
Can only think the boiler was sending a power spike back down the mains and triggering the cooker as well.
Might be worth checking if any thing else in the house is starting up at the same time.

    Re: shulthess

Armstrong’s have been selling ASKO machines under various names for at least 25 years and are a good source of spares.
As commercial machines they have been sold as Electrolux, Wascator, Nyborg, Asko, Primus, Amazon,
As domestic machines they have been Maytags european front load range (although I believe the current Maytags are Samsungs !!)
The Schulthess range of machines are Swiss I believe.

    Re: Commercial Coffee Machines

You can still repair as the inspection is only required annually not after every repair.
Also if you can find a local inspector to work with it makes it easier, especially if you are doing up machines for resale.
Also depends on the type of machine as the boilers in some of the bean to cup machines are flash boilers and not pressure vessels.

    Re: Commercial Coffee Machines

Don’t forget that these machines have boilers that are treated as pressure vessels under the “The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000” and need to be safety tested by an HSE licensed contractor.

Re: Customer quoting Sale of Goods.

Thanks for the quick replies and links
Will consider my reply to her over the weekend.
Thing is if she had talked to me first i may would have been happy to come to some sort of arrangement, but she now seems to want 4 years use and a full repair at no cost.
At the same time had this not been a sealed drum then could have just changed spider at reasonable cost and there would not have been this problem.
Will keep you posted as to progess

Was just wondering how these three phase motors fail as insulation appears fine and continuity between all three lines

Many thanks does look similar but cant tell if it is doing the same job.
The blown one seems to connect the neutral side of the drain pump, dryer fan, and condenser valve to the neutral line.

Belive this is heater falure if displayed at end of program or sensor/relay fault if program aborts.
