Re: HOTPOINT WMA 10 NO SPIN

No lights flashing just finishes cycle as normal but no spin.Have a spare harness from scrap machine so will give it a try.Just that it works fine empty which suggests some kind of out of balance fault. 😕

    Re: Bosch to/from China

It should not matter wether the machine is made in China or Germany provided that the design is done by Bosch and the quality control is maintained by them.
A rubbish design (Merloni) is still rubbish no matter where it is made.

Is there any chance they will issue a price list to go with it in the way Wash Vac used to,invaluable for pricing a job out on the road ❓

Went to a built in oven with blown fan element.Looked for isolator switch but couldnt find one anywhere,so asked if I could switch of at mains.Pulled fuse marked cooker and all the power in the kitchen went out, lights sockets and even an outside light that was on!!
Turned out after questioning that local oddjob builder had installed new kitchen in a converted outhouse and wired everything into the cooker line as there was no more spare fuses in the fuse box!!! ❗ ❗ ❗
Told customer that she shouldget it sorted asap and I would return to fix cooker when it was safe.

Think this is also down to the really poor quality of the alloy used.Just look at the old Hotpoint 1800 series same spider as 95 and wm but when did you ever see them rotted out.
Same applies to Hoover, old spiders and backplates never rotted, but ecologic range grow holes within years.

Try JLA as this machine was supplied under their own brand.

Just had similar problem on Hoover auto.Changed dampers but still knocking then noticed black powder traces on inside cabinet.Concrete block seemed solid but retaining bolts nipped up half a turn.Result silent spin!!

Find these no problem but need the assistance of two paper tissues!
Place spring into seal at 12 oclock and wedge in place with tissue between seal and concrete, streach spring around seal to about 5 oclock and jam in second tissue.Fitting rest of spring then easy with two hands to streach it into place.

Any domestic fridge comp can be used to inflate things, have used one on my car and van tyres for years.Use an oil seperator and pressure regulator set to the pressure of my tyres then just a quick flip round once a week to keep them right.

Called to Hotpoint 95 series owned by a gamekeeper to change bearings. After removing inner drum found 6 live .22 rounds under heater element, futher 10 removed from sump hose! More alarming was the small round hole in the back of the tub and corrisponding hole in rear back panel! Dont know if these two things were connected but customer had not heard any explosions!

Re: Hotpoint / Creda tumble dryers not heating

On condenser driers have found that in most of the ones i have been called to have had blocked condensors .Giving them a good wash through with a hose and probing with wire sorts things out.
Also if you drill a small through the back of the one shot stat in the center and push gently the stat resets.Usefull if at call miles away from base and no stats on board
