My Aunt died a couple of years ago from Asbestos related lung cancer (Mesothelioma) caused by the Asbestos lagging in the fan assisted night storage heaters that were installed new in the 70’s.
They were only removed about 8 years ago when the fan units failed.
Found the installation instructions when we cleared the house and they warned about its safe removal if the elements needed replacing.

Have you checked to see what it actually heats to when set to B and C as have an idea that this is actually the way the timer functions on these machines.
Program starts by pumping out then advances to fill then onto heat

Still at least 4 guys around here repairing TV’s, fitting aerials and dishes, installing extra LNBs etc
They have just had to adapt to the new technologies.
Yes the small cheap sets are disposable but who is just going to replace a £800 and upwards TV
Having said that they do seem to get far better tech support from the manufactures than this trade does.

Regular customer and long standing acquaintance through family, always offers a cup of tea, and I always forget to decline in time.
Pint mug, 2 tea bags, stands for 10 mins then says sorry, hope you like it black as have run out of milk! Then adds sorry not got any sugar as I don’t use it.
Trouble is he is always chatty and hovers around so little chance of loosing it ❗

Have been back and checked condenser and all is clear.
Water valve operates at start of dry cycle, then shuts off and the fan starts up.
Valve does not open again, there is voltage to it but neutral does not switch.

Have had the wires to the reed switch break under the door, so check for continuity back to the PCB
