    Re: Whirlpool D/W leak/tripping

    Hi Jim,

The fix for the connector block at the front of the base is simple, cut it out, crimp the wires and tie the two wires up with the rest of the harness at the front of the sump. I wonder who was the genius that thought of putting this connector on the base plate.

I have seen leaks from the sump but not very common, if it is coming from the top of the sump I would just drop it and clean the seal and refit as I have never changed a sump seal because of a leak. Looking at your picture I see that the sieve valve loooks fairly clean, when you get a slight leak from the sump this valve is normaly covered in muck and can be the source of earth leakage.

F12 is a problem with the heating circuit, check the heater and associated connections.

POWER off before you open the appliance up.

    Re: The Martin Conumdrum

Have I failed to add up correctly or is Martin spouting total bullshit in his HMRC Christmas card thread.

In the past few years he has told us that he has de-registered for VAT, only does about 4 jobs a day at most and advises anyone who is thinking of setting up a limited company to stay as a sole trader.

If all above is true how does he end up with a end of year tax bill for £8k and how does he end up in the 40{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} tax band 😕

Re: Fisher & Paykel versus the rest.

I can clarify a few points for you gandh1

All current F&P dishwashers and ovens fit into normal UK spec kitchens
Fisher & Paykel distribute their own appliances in the UK, there is no tie up with Whirlpool.
Their range cookers are made in the Delonghi plant in Italy as F&P own the Delonghi brand
A genuine fan oven element for the OR90 range retails at £17.48.
