Re: prima hob fault code F03?

Took a look at the tech info and there is no mention anywhere of fault codes on this model.

Looks pretty simple though, all it has is 4 elements, 4 bimetal stats and a ccu. If the elements and stats are OK it must be the ccu from what I can see.

    Re: Whirlpool AWZ541

This is one of these jobs that you have to look at to suss it out, I seem to remember that most of the wires in the kit get binned and dont know anyone who has done the job as per the diagram.

Thinking back you have to bring the live direct to the double pole start switch instead of the timer, then from the switch back to the original timer connection.

The nuetral wire comes off the timer and goes through the door switch, up to the start switch and back to the original terminal on the timer.

The part that is a bit vague is I recall that there was a loop fitted on the timer but after staring at the diagram for the past 10 minutes I cant suss it out.

IIRC the mod only applies if the old switch has a solenoid on it ?

    Re: CDA CW494 dishwasher motor?

    Hi Steve,

Can only think of 2 causes for the wash pump to pulse. The main one being that the motor is knackered, another one that I have not saw for a while is that after a leak water sprays onto the WI switch in the sump which can cause random pulsing of the motor.

Fridge was made in June 1990, stat number I have given above is looks correct.

A quick email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and Dave will source the stat for you.

    Re: can’t source right thermostat

There is still info available for 8 different version of this f/f and they all have the same stat bar the original ARG917.

Does your f/f have Philips Whirlpool written on it or does it just say Whirlpool?

If it has Philips Whirlpool written on and there are no letters after the ARG917 it then the stat should be part number 481927128788 which will be available from the shop below.

Just had a brainwave and punched the 12nc into a SAM module and this model is listed so I assume there are no resistors to cut.

Looks like you have been supplied the wrong board 😥

If you have access to the SCC site click on the box next to the 12nc box named WEDOC.
There are loads of models in there now that are not on the SCC site, AFAIK the SCC site will be replaced with the new WEEDOC site and all new info will go in there.

    Re: F03 whirlpool cooker AKZ161/03/IX

Whirlpool list 5 versions online, 15122 and 15123 only appear as a parts listing on the new WEDOC site.

The correct part number for the power board in your oven is 481221458307, is this the one you fitted?

Usualy when you se a rating plate with no number next to the model number it means that the board cannot be programmed by cutting the resistors ( to confirm look at the board and you will see that there is 2 small rows of holes where the resistors usualy fit ) If this is the case the board should come all set to go. These boards can only be reprogrammed with a SAM module.

    Re: F03 whirlpool cooker AKZ161/03/IX

IIRC on the r/h side of your model number there is a number printed in bold i.e. AKZ161/03/IX 3 where 3 is the number you want.

AS far as I can tell there are 5 different versions of this oven with only 2 being on SIOS and your model number is correct.
