    Hi Steve,

Do you still have an account with Whirlpool spares ??
The latest friends and family is just out with a full range of split units, easy to fit, quiet in operation and the price is good.

I take it you changed the pushbutton switch??
To set the clock you first have to make sure the oven selector knob is in the off position, and IIRC press the start button 3 times till the display lights up in the bottom r/h corner, then use the r/h temp selector knob to set the time. Once time is set press the start button once again and the oven should work.

    Re: whirlpool dishwasher strange fault

You have the wrong board, the one you have is a blank and needs to be programmed by a SAM module

It also looks as if this blank board wont work in your machine even if it is programmed, there are 4 different version of this dishwasher, 3 of them take the blank board yours does not. Correct part number for the board is 481221838273

Add AASWALES to the list, we should lobby for a new law similar to gas laws for untrained personel buying electrical test equipment, Superfix’s answer is a peach :rotfl:

    Re: Work Providers …

I will admit to bringing the topic back to the limelight at sibson and only found 2 maybe 3 ( I was pi.ssed 😆 ) out off all there who gave any kind of conditional support.

My thoughts were if we could get enough members together to form a seperate company which would be the work provider, all the founder members would have to input capital to set this company.

The founder members would be shareholders in the company and would receive priority on work ( if we could get any!! ) in their own patch and a network of of other agents could be set up to cover the rest.

But, going on the general opinion at Sibson I don’t think this is capable of getting off the ground due to lack of support.

I have already received the first text message from Wales and no doubt when Kevin gets back on Tuesday I will hear it over and over again. Why can’t the bloody Italians win for a change, it would make life simpler……

If the water is only trickling out of both spray arms it will probably be the wash pump at fault.

    Re: GPRS Trackers?

As an employer I think trackers are going to be a useful tool now that the price has come down to a realistic level. For example, two engineers go out light on one day I can see who is closest when a call comes in on a certain area and pass the call to the closest engineer, saving me on fuel.

This is not the main reason for tracking vans though. With the new changes in personal tax, the liability on vans is now increased from £500 to £3000 per engineer per year of which I pay approx £448 national insurance contributions. If I fit tracking in my vans I can show the tax man that they are only used for business purposes ans save me the £ 448 and my engineers the tax on the £3k.

I am looking closely at fitting this in all my vans……

I am not that daft Bryan, It would be cheaper to buy a 32″ lcd tv and miss out on the media and usb ports.

Why anyone would pay that much for a pc screen is beyond me.
