    Re: Stats?

right click on the directory in the backup disc and copy it directlly on to the c drive of your pc. Insert current MFI disk and just follow the prompts and it should work first time.

Just checked and it has not been available for some time. I notice that it says 3-5 days for availability which probably means that it is not a stock item and if so you will probably get an email telling you it is not available when ordered.

Check the circular black plastic moulding that the motor is fixed on to, if it is damaged it will cause the fault you describe.

looks like you may have the wrong part in the bag, 481941029004 is definitely a double pole on/off switch which fits a lot of washers and dishwashers.

kwatt wrote:Ah, but did you map the network drive first of all where the program is installed? It has to see that network drive as a mapped drive to work.
Sorry, thought you’d have done that.
    K.

Yeah, all drives mapped. The problem is no matter what pc I install it on I always only get the option to setup terminal on the c: drive.
Looking on the bright side it only takes a couple of minutes to update.

I tried installing in the new vista laptop this morning and it works a treat.
Copies will be going through the post tomorrow.

    Re: Stats?

I have just aquired a replacement laptop for an engineer. This a brand new Vista based machine that has never had Identiffier on it so if it works on this it will work on any machine.

If it works I will send on copies.

kwatt wrote:On the upside to get a terminal working do this in XP…
Select “run” from the start menu
Enter: “f:setup terminal” where “f” is the drive with the MFI disc in it.
    Follow the installation prompts.
    K.

I have tried that Ken, once it gets to the installation prompts it only gives you the option to install in the c: drive of the computer you have the disk in.

Just checked my 20 meg connection and I am currently getting 3763kb/s down and 129 kb/s up.

In general my connection is worse than when I had 4meg broadband

Just a thought Ken, Jim Frew told me that Identiffier can networked but I cannot find anyone in MFI who can tell how to do it, do you know how?
It gets to be a pain when the update comes in having to install it in 7 different PC’s

    Re: Stats?

When I first saw the post I logged onto my office server using RDP and it took 3 hours to transfer the directory over 👿 I have a 8 meg connection in the office and a 20 meg connection at home so did a speed test at home and got 12 meg down and 500k up. This morning I took a look at the router in the office and am getting 448k up and 110K down

    I bloody hate computers!!!!

My IT guy told me that Demon is pants localy and told me to look at “Bethere.co.uk” which is owned by O2. I checked their site out and find for £20 a month I can get there Pro service which has 24meg down and 2.5 meg up. If I can get half of that in the office I will be chuffed and remote desktop should fly…..

kwatt wrote:Same system used as the Merloni disc Chris so a copy isn’t of much use TBH as it does require validated. 🙁
    K.

AH,HA says the master computer hacker, I read this thread on Sunday and was half sure I had installed Identiffier without getting a validation. So I thought I would wait till I got a hold of the MFI disk from the office today before I tried this.

To beat the activation all you have to do is to copy a working MFIDENT directory to a disc and then copy the directory straight onto the C: drive on the required PC, then get the current MFI disk and instal following the prompts. It worked 1st time. Once on a PC all you need is a copy of a MFI disk when the update comes out and it will install without asking for validation.

Ken have you got a PC in the office that has not got MFI on it to try this and confirm that it is not a fluke?
If it works I will get Nero wound up 😆

    Sorry Jim,

I never noticed your post last week.

The drive coupling on these is the same all through the range, the pumps are similar except one has an inlet and outlet the same size, the other has a small outlet and large inlet.

    Hi Steve,

Model number is behind the lid, lift the lid and look on the cabinet top between the hinges.

There are two different pumps in these machines depending on model.
