Check for dry joints on the module, fixed a good few with my trusty soldering iron.

Def a brush driven motor, if you type in motor on connect for that model it shows an FHP motor with brushes.

    Re: AMANA AC2224GEKB

Went back today and was advised it stopped freezing altogether i plugged it in and the comprressor and condensor fan come on for about 5 secs then goes off i tried another starter it did the same, i tested the compressor windigs i think they are okay ie approx 13ohms, 27ohms and 40 ohms across both windigs, not sure if it is the pcb or a siezed compressor, anybody got any ideas what to try next. I’d try the dryer thermistor 1st, they cause loads of weird and wonderful faults.

    Re: AMANA AC2224GEKB

Thanks went back yesterday and it had stopped then was back working again, i had asked him if he had heard any buzzing like sounds followed by a click, he hadnt but is his wife was there this time she had, so i’m going to have a pop at fitting a new starter for the compressor, the other thing i thought it might be was the condensor fan faulty causing it to overheat and the compressor to trip out

Usualy the wash element or wiring fault but another engineer told me the dryer element going down to earth can cause it also, i’ve not seen that one myself.

I’m sure in the distant past i had one doing this as Roy says i think it was the door interlock that that cured it.
