The Indesit engineers are allowed 65 mins to do them what i’ve heard some are taking longer, newer ones shorter a lot get rebooked because they need other parts, i for one dont intend doing them after the way they shafted me, they came to me a couple of months back after i chucked it wanting me to only do driers for an extra fiver told them to ram it, i’m happy vat free and plodding away nicely.

Is it a coincidence that the newer driers with the front seal fitted like the lux and Beko dryers etc, don’t seem to suffer the fluff build up that the old arrangement does, common sense to provide a seal no leaks.

Re: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers

The problem is the front seal dosent seal properly with drum, the rear seal is a hit or a miss so any fluff bypassing the front seal is drawn into the rear seal area, i dont think a new back panel and a pop rivet poking through the back of the drum to clear the build up of fluff is going to completely cure lint build up on the rear seal, only my take on it though.

Got an email from 1st for service asking if I would be up for doing 4 to 5 calls a day, as they have been approached by a major manufacturer about a major recall training, tools and stock supplied got me wondering who it might be, the work is mainly in the city’s and big towns.

They fit an external relay kit but if the pcb shows any signs of overheating the pcb must be replaced if available, if the parts is obsolete then it’s write off.
