ParticipantRe: Beko D3421FS Dishwasher
Chris, I’ve got one with exact same problem, I’ve tried everything on it as its under warranty, PCB, Flow Meter, Timer and NTC but still wont work correctly, its probably going to be written off but if I have to go back I will let u know, I reckon it could be something to do with wiring loom or maybe PCB is not getting correct signal from somewhere.
As usual no tech info from Beko just parts diagrams :rolls:

I just want to say as well that without UKW and the solid advice given I could easily have been caught out by this, it really does show what a great idea UKW is.
Thankfully I think we can start to draw a line under this one, unfortunately I think there are some Agents out there who are not part of UKW will probably have paid them, or have used Legal help at a cost.
My sincere thanks to Jackal, Ken and all the rest of you for the superb advice given as well as the support and encouragment shown by all of you in the posts in this thread, cheers lads 😀

ParticipantRe: How much is enough?
One of the easiest ways to check your prices is to do some research into what your local competitors are charging, just call around with an obvious fault like a fan element replacement and ask for some idea of the cost.
As far as new appliances go you will have the problem of Internet and Shed prices to compete with, but you can always put your own 3 year warranty on the appliance and offer delivery installation as well as this is normally extra to Internet and Shed prices, its very hard to define a certain profit margin across the board but you do need to know exactly how much your business costs are including your wages to even start to figure out how much to charge.
You will get hardened to it in time, being customer orientated is not a bad thing but you do need to make a profit, my golden rule is never under sell yourself, dont be afraid to charge what your services are worth.
There are many threads on UKW on this subject and in the downloads is a good profit and loss form that Ken put on, worth checking it out.
Good luck in the future 🙂

I have received a reply to my strongly worded letter to Zolfo Cooper this morning, and I quote:
Dear Mr Jones,
MFI Financial Services Limited – in Administration
I write further to your letter dated 18 May 2009 and note your comments regarding the outstanding debt owed by the Company to Integral Appliance Solutions Limited (Integral).
I confirm that the Company’s computer system was subject to a software licence, which was terminated shortly after the Administrators appointment. As a result of the termination I am unable to supply any backing documentation supporting the figure beleived to be owed by Integral.
as a result of your comments and the above I confirm that the Administrators will not be persuing the debt further.
should you have any further queries please contact my colleague Leon Molson.
Yours sincerely
For and on behalf of the CompanyP Richmond
For F Gray
Joint Administrator
As was said by Jackal, Ken, alex and many others they CANNOT prove anything in court so whats the point in persuing us all !!! 😀My Bank Holiday weekend has just got better, party on me thinks 😆

ParticipantRe: Bosch Parts Price Rant
As a rule Spanner I charge 24.99 + vat for a fan element no matter if genuine or pattern on the cheaper branded ovens, if its a De Dietrich or SMEG etc then its a case of checking the prices as genuine fan elements are ridiculous prices so I give the customer the choice, mark up included of course 😉

Has it got a cut out TOC at the back of oven cavity, could be open circuit or possible door lock if one is fitted

ParticipantRe: Brandt VF3000JU1 (D/W)

ParticipantRe: MFI Turmoil
Got my letter today and will be replying as per what Jackal posted, are we all going to get together on this as Ken suggested or deal with it individually ❓
How do you all feel about a class action, I’m certainly for it as it gives a lot more clout with all of us together 😈

Next time they call Ken I’m ready to record it, that is the trouble they catch you unawares with the first call and are probably wary of calling again as a good chance we would record it 😉

ParticipantRe: Integrated son of a b****
After working on built in appliances virtually all the time for 15 years there is nothing I havent witnessed as a so called ‘installation’ by professional fitters 😉
I can tell just by walking into the kitchen if its a decent instal or not, look at the joins in the worktops (not mitred and metal joining strips !) and the cornices, loads of silicone everywhere means trouble, dont do anything without opening the under sink cupboard and checking the plumbing, look at the floor as laminate will probably been put in after units as well as tiles, but first and formost ask before you even book the call to go who supplied and FITTED the kitchen, that question has saved me a fortune in the past 😆
The best one is my Hubby is builder he knows how to fit a kitchen, doh !!
