    Good evening,

Sorry for my late response to your helpful pointers.

The customer decided to buy a new dishwasher last week, and I didn’t realise (no email notification) that I’d had some feedback.

    Thanks again Kentish and Electrofix.

    Good afternoon,

Removed and replaced diverter/alt’ water distributor unit, and all well.

    Thanks again chaps.

    Good morning,

Thanks Graham & Dave for your feedback.

Yes, I did check the arms for blockages and the upper freely rotates.

I monitored the dishwasher for quite a while on a cycle, and I don’t think there was much/any change in sound when operating/fluctuating from upper to lower…

Will check/replace above unit, and update next week.

    Many thanks,

    Good evening all,

Well, I’ve got the above dishwasher working, following replacing the main board.

It now appears to function perfectly… however, the display module is “dead!” so appears that this has now also “coincidentally” failed, as I’ve checked, and rechecked the wiring connections between the two boards…

Several things going “pear shaped” recently!!

    Good morning all,

Checked the wiring to and from flow meter/reed switch to board, and all good.

Diagnostic Mode tried as per manual, which it does start, although aborts cycle as before. i.e. overfills, drains and displays F5

All point to fault in board.

    Good evening all,

Well, I thought I’d cured the fault with the above dryer as I replaced the suspect element NTC, and it was fine when I tested and monitored the dryer for 20-30 min’s on a couple of programmes.

However, customer has now called to report that it has the original fault! (i.e. runs for around 15 min’s prior to aborting cycle, with “filter light” lit)

Should I now suspect main board, as struggling to diagnose?

    Thanks for that Dave,

Will return and test further, as machine was fine on 45 minute programme and I only had limited time.

    Thanks Dave,

Yes, will do. Reed switch appears to be part of matrix.

Will also have a look at service manual.

    Many thanks (again!)

Revisited the cooker in question yesterday, and the double grill element was the cause.

Confirmed by Mega Testing, and replaced element – all good.

    Thanks again all,

    Thanks chaps,

Not returning to the above cooker until next Wednesday, as it’s in a Village Hall, and the caretaker is unavailable until then…

Will Mega grill and hidden base elements, and hopefully confirm fault.

    Good evening,

Yes, it was F5: Inadequate Water Supply.

The inlet hose was found to be kinked where it connects to the inlet valve, which must have occurred when refitting and testing the appliance… so my fault!
(I can’t understand why water supply appeared fine, and washed well for a few minutes, although machine clearly sensed the above!)

    Thanks again,

    Thanks for the info;

Will return and check, although wonder why the dishwasher appears to fill correctly, and washes well for two to three minutes, prior to aborting…
