    He called me out for d/w not emptying, has moved house and had left blanking plug on, this was him telling me what a fool he was.

    So how many engineers do they have? there is one in the Chatham area, so all of you that know of one please post. I do work for them and some weeks get nothing so I am curious to know.

    Yes Ken that is the one. I tried Baumatic but they would not help, next time I see one of thier engs will see if he is helpfull.

    It has only taken me 6 months to get the model number, I do not like working on niebhour’s appliances.

    Anyway it is a Baumatic Wine Chiller BWE 40 E2 fault,

    The pcb and ntc sensor is usually the problem, but also it could be in demo mode where lights work but comp doesn’t. Power off press on/off for at least 2 seconds, says with appliance switched off.

    Brilliant washing machine mine is now 21 years old, but at this age I wouldn’t do the bearings, everything is now rock hard and it would need new heaters you would never get them back in.

    Thanks Jim ,stripped all down but could not find a loose or broken wire, the display comes on when switched on but the second you press start it goes blank then the F12 code appears, I know nothing about these but presume it is the same as the Zanussi and a new ribbon is the answer unless someone knows better,

    Thanks Dave and Goosegreen. I did know the one Dave picked was wrong as I have that one in stock, I do have Servis and Zanussi that look very similar but was hoping to get the correct one.

    There are 4 screws along the back quite well hidden once they are out hob tops slide to left and right. The left side you have been able to remove has probably been off before and eng did not put back the 2 screws.

    These units are prone for insulation breaking down between fridge and freezer, usually big build up of ice on back left hand rear of fridge bottom.
