Re: Daewoo frsu20dai american fridge freezer

Possibly a compressor fault but, if it doesn’t get enough airflow to cool it, it will overheat and cut out.

This is known as short cycling, the compressor cuts out before it can fully do what it needs to.

More on the topic here: http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/fix- … er-airflow

So, sort the airflow issue then ping back what it’s doing after that.

Err yeah. We’ve seen some parts in short supply or unavailable for months, no idea why but I’d reckon this latest turn of events will not help it at all.

To be honest that sounds like a classic compressor failure and if that’s correct, you cannot replace that on a DIY basis as you need gas and specialist tools to do it.

    Re: Swan Dishwasher Model SDW7040

The bigger problem that you will likely have is that there is no spares support for Swan products at all that we’ve ever managed to find. To be honest, it’s rather shocking that there’s just nothing.

We detail the position with the brand here:

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/abou … appliances

It will be made for them by someone in China most probably and likely the same machine as something else but, what we’ve no idea as we’ve got zero access to any information on them.

Not good at all and made even worse if the machine isn’t in the country of origin as there will be no support whatsoever in France I’d expect.

Again, not if you’re forced to put your prices up and the cost of spares also rises.

The gap may widen a bit sure, but that’s the best I think we’ll see.

Not cheap and you can’t DIY that one.

Re: Fridge freezer that operates efficiently at low temps

We get asked about this a lot and, the short answer is that, below 10?C there’s really nothing to be had that will work well.

Beko say theirs will but, (a) it’s a Beko and (b) the jury’s out on if or how well that works.

Re: nicks and tears in clothing

If it’s not doing that to all it’s not drum damage Martin as physical damage won’t discriminate, it’ll damage everything.

And if it is the clothing/load/program as usual then no two loads let alone two machines will be the same. Far too many variables in it.

Chances are it’s a Lincat one as they built them.

I have one, found the fan element which is in the store but not a lot else.

I’m not back in the office till Tuesday but if you remind me then I’ll have a look.

I can’t find the board for it at all but, given the amount of obsolete parts coming up I’d hazard what I think would be a safe assumption that it will be obsolete now.

Even if you could get it, it’d be a stupid price knowing that stuff.

There are two versions of it but I looked up one just out of interest and, no you can’t remove the paddles.

It is a completely sealed tank, no way to get into it at all. 🙁
