KeymasterAll the sensors are replaced by this kit now, just in case you need it:

KeymasterSounds like a sensor issue but I’d need the service number to look it up and see what’s in it.
That is explained here: https://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/spare-parts/finding-parts/4335-liebherr-spare-parts

KeymasterThey, like detergent manufacturers, aren’t going to tell anyone what’s in the secret sauce or come to think of it, KFC, McDonalds etc either. Kinda defeats the notion of it being “special”.
All the good stuff that makes it special, you will not get a list of.
Detergents use fillers and bulking agents that don’t do much, I suspect that’s what you’re seeing there. The active ingredients that are in much lower percentages you won’t.
The reason I expect you’re getting so much foam is that the machine is ram-packed with residues so regardless of what you do next the best course is to run boil/very hot washes until that clears and hope it does. Some that are really, really bad potentially never will or need stripped and the gunk scraped out of them.

KeymasterAffresh has specific enzymes etc in it to target the problem.
Soda crystals, acid, vinegar etc, etc are all old wive’s tales, they don’t work. They’ll make it smell better/different but that’s about as much as they might do.
The foam you see is telling you there is residue in the machine and by the sound of it, it’s pretty bad.

KeymasterWhen you need bits for it, ask me as I think that’s a Bertazzoni made one and if so you can get parts a lot cheaper than you will get quoted. 😉

KeymasterHonestly, it makes little to no odds.
Most will be made by Galanz, Sharp, LG, Samsung or Panasonic and rebadged. Maybe spec’d up differently but other than that, all much of a muchness.
Bosch, Neff and Siemens are all the same products under BSH and they don’t make microwaves, just buy them in badged up like everyone else. The low volumes and huge cost of a line to produce them makes it not commercially viable to do much else.

KeymasterThanks Bob.
All I need to do is think up some stuff, knock up some presentations, turn up and do a turn up front.
The rest of the guys get the rough end of the stick having to do all the graft organising and whatnot. Kinda just the way I like it! 😉
Seriously though, it’s a lot of work and time they dedicate to this so it’s really good to hear that people got something from it all.

KeymasterDefrost it fully and start it up again, dry out any moisture to the rear cover and hope it works would be my advice.
The kits you’re looking at I think are for older models, not this one.
As after that, it’s likely to be the evap cover, this one:

KeymasterJust heads up to anyone thinking of going on Friday, there are only a few places left, like about 8 or so as I speak from 200. So it’s gonna be a busy one.
The short of it is if you want to go, book fast!

KeymasterThat error is listed as:
F5 :: Inadequate water supply
Make sure the water input tap is totally open and that there is no water cut.
Close the water input tap, separate the water input hose from the tap and clean the filter at the connection end of the hose.
Restart your machine, contact the service if the error resumes. So for whatever reason, it’s not seeing the machine being filled so, water valve or the flow meter on the inlet tank are top suspects.
K.

KeymasterPossibly but that’s not an easy machine for beginners as it’s’ got three boards in it if memory serves.
But it should clear the sump first so, are you hearing the pump running or a valve? After it clears the sump then it’ll fill. Then it’ll start to wash and heat.
The trick is working out what bit of that it’s not doing.

KeymasterThere should be a model number on a sticker inside the fridge, left hand wall.
But, many parts will be obsolete as they closed up shop over a decade ago.

KeymasterIf it’s getting down to temp then the valve, if the water supply works, is the next obvious thing to check as it’s usually a dual valve, one for water supply an one for ice. Easily checked for continuity with a meter to see if that’s okay.
After that, yes, wiring.
Then things get hard if those strike out.
K.

KeymasterIs it getting down to temperature as, if not, most side by sides will not harvest ice.
Even if it looks to you (and on some displays) it’s getting “frozen” that’s not to say it’s cold enough to let the icemaker work as it should.
