The door is rigid ,the cabinet isn’t ,point of least resistance gives and the cabinet flexes.
Have got to look at one tomorrow that had spacers a month ago and is still the same :rolls:

I get it a lot on Smeg cooker facias I wondered about laser printing the symbols on to an adhesive transparency and then cutting them out and sticking them on .
Also used to happen on the Servis M3022 all the time

    Re: hotpoint engineers cannot solder

Get this.. I have a D&G policy on our Indesit DW ,its blowing the trip so we booked a call and a hotpoint engineer duly called this evening,So naturally I got chatting ,told him all about the web site and just casually asked if he had a soldering iron in his tools ?
funny you should ask he says but a funny thing happened just recently he couldnt repair a Cooker hood as he wasnt allowed to solder due to health and safety ! He thinks it’s madness.
Dont know where you are based pinky but this was in Braintree Essex

How wide is the cabinet Martin if its slim it will date the machine to Uk Servis ,which will make it at least 15 yrs old .
Also does it have a filter ?

How the re-hash of the registration scheme will go, I dunno frankly. But, on the upside, the word “streamlining” was the buzz word of the day in relation to that (amongst other things) and they are trying to make ACS accreditation easier. Of course I’m fighting our little corner, hopefully I got somewhere.

As Ken said this is a huge grey area I once asked Smeg service this question and was told that you can disconnect and re connect the bayonet fitting but not disturb a gas connection .
I know someone else who asked a corgi inspector and was given the same response ,Yet I know of another person that asked another inspector the same question and was told no you cant disconnect the bayonet fitting but joe public can !.
The whole gas situation with regard to the white goods industry is a farce in my opinion and rapidly needs to be seen to .
How do we get corgi to see that the current criteria for training is un workable for most small companies ?

AAARGH!!! shes back again ! poor wash results intermittently she had kept a plate and a mug back for me to see mug looks like it hasn’t been touched and the plate has food in the middle .And of course “my husband says you obviously didn’t fix it properly last time ”
she is using seperates I gave her a lecture on correct loading but apparently her husband loads it as he doesn’t trust her to do it properly! And of course being the husband he can’t possibly load it incorrectly 😡
what am I missing ?if anything
