  • Re: Leisure / Beko AL6CDW ckr TOC for lwr oven (f/st dble ov

I have emailed Leisure via their website explaining clearly my concerns. In the morning, when they open again, I’ll try a call to “our engineers” 🙂 0845 600 4916.
My guess is the stats are all about the same temperature and they didn’t want to spend money sourcing a precise equivalent when the lower oven one went NLA at their suppliers. But I’m not taking risks with my customers’ lives until I have confirmation from them in writing. That way, anything goes wrong I can prove it ain’t my fault!

Good. That confirms I’m on the right track.
But I checked BOTH continuity through the RIF (unplugged) and that 240 volts was there between live and neutral at exit terminals of RIF (machine connected) because I know the RIFs are a weakness on Hoover.
Maybe I might go back and trace neutral from RIF to find where it goes first but I guess it would go straight to coreboard?

Re: Leisure / Beko AL6CDW ckr TOC for lwr oven (f/st dble ov

Thanks Chris, that is helpful but I am afraid it still leaves me confused.
It does confirm that there are two stats so at least I am regaining some of my sanity. However, the original main oven stat has no red spot whilst the top oven one has a red spot. I think this suggests that they are not the same stat and not interchangeable.
Does anyone have a number I can call for Beko, Leisure or Stoves perhaps?

Having a closer look at board now. Have desoldered 0.047uF “X2” poly cap. It is reading 0.026uF. Wonder if that would do it?
Checked all 12v relays which read OK.

Re: Leisure / Beko AL6CDW ckr TOC for lwr oven (f/st dble ov

    Bump.
Bought one off ebay with part number 210110544. The picture showed no red spot and no wires with it. It arrives and it has the red spot and wires 😡 . Part no. on bag is 4410101001.
I have also read in UKW parts shop that there is some kind of modification involved and there is a new version of the stat. This doesn’t help me much if they are still referring to the red spot stat though.
I am beginning to question my own sanity. Well, actually other people began to question it quite a long time ago but anyway, did I really see two separate stats on this machine or was I imagining it?

Re: tricity bendix WDR1041W no heat from elements

If it has one of those ntc (thermistor) type stats in the tub to condenser hose (bottom right hand side – easy to miss) there is the common problem of a broken wire to it to look for. As it may be caused by jumping around, wire can sometimes be broken inside insulation, thus appearing intact.

    That’s rather a strange reading.
Wonder if it caused damage to the board?

QER do repair this board. Don’t know if they post to Cyprus but don’t see why not.

    Re: Bosch Dishwasher SGS43CO2GB/35

I think I get it. If the water is already hot, the programme skips through too quickly and the plates don’t get time to soak up the heat and therefore won’t be warmed to their core. And so passive drying is not efficient.
Only one problem. Why was it OK for the first 5 years or so?
Wonder if he got a new boiler recently? Maybe I’ll give him a ring. Or am I barking up the wrong herring?

😕 But I get the emails OK when I post on a thread. I was looking to see if there was a way of getting alerts on particular threads I might want to watch but which I’m not ready to put my oar into 😆 .

Ah. The one I looked at (allegedly 6 years old) was plumbed into hot supply, IIRC. But it had always been so according to customer 😕 .
    How would that affect it?
