Could be an obstruction in sump hose / eco ball area causing pressure switch false readings.

If it’s a washer/dryer, as suggested by one of related topics below, it could be the drier heater IR gone below 40Mohm. Or, as Martin suggests, same applies to wash heater and motor.

Is there a way to watch a thread and be alerted with emails etc. other than by posting in it?
I’ll be watching this one because I had a Siemens dw doing this a month ago. Couldn’t find anything despite extensive investigation. They haven’t got back to me so I don’t even know whether it “fixed itself” or if they just decided not to make any further investment in it.

Another reason they weld the tubs up. So we can’t see what rubbish they’re putting inside.

It’s a Chinese whispers situation. The caretaker is the one who’s ringing me. Why they don’t just get the guests to ring me direct I’ll never know :rolls: .
So many times I go out to holiday cottages and find there’s nothing at all wrong. Just the punters dissatisfied with having to pay such extortionate rentals and doing their best to get a bit knocked off. Or just because it’s a machine they don’t know how to operate. Then having to send an invoice to the owner or agent. Think I’ll pack them in; takes all the fun out of working.
    Thanks for the help guys.

Hmm. Now there’s an idea. It would go nicely between the TV and the DVD plyer.

Laziness. Yes, well the thing is we’ve got the health police telling us we should eat five a day so you do your best down the market to pick up loads of lovely fresh veg with all good intentions. But when you get home from work you don’t have the energy to cook, you’re hungry now, so the fresh veg gets neglected until it’s no longer fresh, out come the microwave pizza and chips from the freezer and the health police can go hang. What do they know, anyway?

According to the clip, it’s inspired by the fact that US cosumers chuck out 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the grub they buy because it got lost in the big chock a block fridge. Seems a complicated way to go about solving such a problem. Would have thought the consumers would be learning to manage stuff better by now what with the recession.
They obviously never heard the expression, “Keep it simple, stupid.”
I like the drawer loading fridge shown in the vid. Saves the cold air falling out every time you open the door. Been waiting for that to happen.

    Re: Zanussi FL-1084

BTW, After checking the pressure switch (only need disconnect the p/hose to check that) if you haven’t looked at the module yet, you should go there next. You might find a dodgy, partly burnt solder joint on a relay terminal or just possibly a swollen or leaking capacitor.

Piece of cake. The cog(s) are keyed – only one way they can go.

Always worth trying in a replacement lock. Don’t know how many of these you see in Cyprus but here this is an essential on board stock item for everyone.
If it still don’t go, oik the board out (it’s a pain but you have to get used to it) and carefully examine to find where the burn marks are 😉 .

Could be a capacitor problem on the board. Worth a careful read of Dave electrofix’s posts in the simple pcb repairs sticky.
