    Re: ISE 10 problem.

Just to round this off, I never got to go back to it as she rang up next day and said, having seen all the heavy rust inside, she’d ordered a 10Kg Zanussi. “Which” gave it a high rating apparently. :rolls:
Oh well, it was six years she’d had out of the ISE and at the heavy rate she’d been using it (summertime 6 washes a day) she didn’t do all that bad.
In another 3 months she’s retiring from the B&B so the Zanussi might just last out that long.

Great stuff! Thanks Jim. Looks like a WM25.3 / W6232 from the control set.
Edit: Except I’ve got delay start where that one has super rinse.
    Got some midnight oil.

I’ll give her a call on that tomorrow.

Thanks Martin; I’ll let you know in due course if you’ve won 😉 .

Re: More Stuff You Don’t Need

I’ve never seen such a load of tosh.
    Talk about scare-mongering.
“High traces” of bacteria. That’s a contradiction in terms. You can have high levels, low levels, very low levels or traces. If “Pixie” is really a GP she should be sacked.
There are ten times as many bacterial cells in each of our bodies as there are human cells. Get rid of 99.9{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of them from your environment and you’ll be dead in no time.
This is aimed at stupid people with more money than sense.
Like the way the woman pours the stuff in liberally in the first video. So the few pence saved in energy by low temperature washing will have to be spent ten-fold on production of bottles of this biocide.
The sad thing is they’ve probably already done the market research and know there’s enough of a market for this and will make a financial killing bigger than the bacterial one out of it. They’re morally not much above arms dealers.

Re: Fagor washing machine FWM 714 iT

Trace tacho wiring from motor back to board leaving all connected. Disconnect the edge connector on the board. Attach your meter set to measure a deflection of 2v or so across the two relevant terminals. (I think you’re looking for AC but I can never remember for sure so try both or auto detection, if you have it.) Move drum gently at first with one hand and gradually build up speed whilst watching meter reading. That will tell you whether the tacho is working or not.
If it isn’t, check connector at motor, then coil for continuity, and finally integrity of magnet.
If you are getting a signal (maximum you would generate by hand turning of drum would be about 2v) then it’s likely to be the connection to the board that’s faulty, not the board itself; although nothing’s impossible. Not forgetting the wiring loom.

    Re: Servicenet

Some kid chewing gum as he spoke left a scarcely decipherable message on my answerphone this morning about a job just outside my range. I won’t be ringing them back but I thought I’d come and have a look on here to see if I could find out more about them. Haven’t read this topic yet but it looks like my instincts were right.
Makes you wonder what kind of dumb or desperate customer it would have to be to get taken in by such a business.
Oh yeah, maybe they just have an 18 month old Arispoint which won’t cancel the programme and is boiling up as well.

in reply to: WT540/1p Module Fault #397129

    Re: WT540/1p Module Fault

Sorry been away from boards for a couple of months and just going through old reply notification emails.
Look at bottom of relay from other side of board. There are three legs one end of the rectangle and two the other. At the three-leg end the two outer ones are the coil. The middle one is “common” and switches between contact with the two at the other end. If you see which of the terminals in the main connector block are connected to the switched legs (end with 2), then follow the wiring from that / those terminals, it may point at something.
Though I guess the dogs’ blankets must be mingin’ by now.
BTW, a burn mark on the module casing may not necessarily be from the current module.

All good advice, thank you both.
Called them just now and said if it’s repairable it is going to take considerable time and even more money so the chef is going to talk to the boss but it looks like I’m out too 😀 .

Re: Hoover HNL2126S-80 – Spider Change

Did one Hoover bearings + spider change once years ago and those rivets are haaard!! Take a 10mm cobalt drill and you should be OK. It was a Performa I did so could be a whole lot different now but it was a pig of a job and I vowed never to do another. I used a Hotpoint WM series bolt kit. I think I had to enlarge the holes slightly to enable them to fit.
I had the impression anything with -80 at the end was of Chinese origin.

Re: Bearings for Beko WM7335W. Not on Connect, Qualtex, Goog

Maybe there are different serial numbers. Connect showed an exploded diagram with the bearings showing separately and the tank shown in separate halves but no sign of those parts in the list. So maybe their diagram is just generic. 😕

Duh! It’s all plain now on looking again. I wonder if I put the model no. in wrong?

    Re: john lewis jlwd1406

Had same on a Zanussi with board along fascia the other day. Had to remove board (tricky) and could not understand why knob shaft wasn’t engaging with switch on board. Turned out that at some time in the past the machine must have been dropped on its front (dents and scratches were visible) and the shaft of the knob had got pushed too far into the body of the knob so that it would no longer reach the board behind.
The knob was captive in the fascia so wasn’t able to pull it off until I’d got the board out. (Take your fine side cutters!)

    Re: BOSCH Logixx WAS32466GB/18

Had similar a few weeks ago. Armature was completely short to earth but did not blow trip, just displayed all the symptoms you describe except no F43 iirc. Somehow the electronics protect the machine from damage from this and it doesn’t register on the megger until, as Martin says, you megger the motor itself.

Damaged lips are good for business though so maybe not.
Or maybe make the bottom edge of the door seal a bit higher so the overall shape is a circle with a flat along the lower edge.
Did I see that already somewhere 😕 .
Or there’s those few Zanussis that had the tub laid back at a slight angle.

    Re: WT5s,40/1p Module Fault

Mark, a photo of the module damage would probably spark off some attempts to answer your question. Few of us have access to spares of such things in stock and if we did it would take a lot of hunting to find the components you mention. Posting up photos here is easier than ever, even I can do it so it must be. (There’s probably a tutorial on here somewhere; I wouldn’t know how to tell anyone else to do it as yet.)
