I think sparkys is talking about pulling out the rotor from the pump body and cleaning it. I think this is possible with some but not all magnet pumps. I usually replace pump if it’s all gunged up in there.
I did once use a second hand rotor assembly from my toolbag because I didn’t have a bayonet fit Askoll with me and it’s been going strong for 3 years now 😯 .

Trouble with fitting a re-con module to what is a 5+? year old Merloni by now is that other stuff is likely to start falling apart pretty soon, e.g. bearings/spider. So how impressed will the customer be if she’s shelled out on that module? I’d err on the side of advising a new one. (Different if it was a Bosch 5yo though).

If this was the case I wouldn’t have thought the motor would have turned at the normal wash speed several times each time tested before giving an error. I would have expected either no rotation or the motor ramp up to full speed before showing a fault.

Hmm. That’s what I’d expect if it was a ten year old Hoover or a Zanussi but I have never yet had a modern Indy/Ariston give such an easily recognised symptom!

Maybe the magnet may not be effective. Might be worth trying new float?

If it turns out to need the exact size 1228 H7 EL then you may have to go to Greece.

Think I’d have given up some time before you did! That’s what I call dedication!
“Jammed motor” presumably means no signal from tacho. Could be a dodgy crimp/IDC connection around motor plug area. As you’ve got this far, might as well try wiggling and pulling the wires about both sides of that plug, one might come away in your fingers with luck.
But even if you get it solved, I wonder how long it’ll be before you get a call back. :rolls:

Is this an “impellor jug” thing? They’re not dear, it’s worth having a swapper in van stock. (It’s just feasible that the rotor could wear and stick so it’s more than just a reed switch).

do pattern versions with (W1-18121 £6.29 each) or without (W1-18121/A £1.49 each) housings. Beware they also use the trick of pricing brushes singly.

Gazman, our sympathies are with you. That one is obviously a bit of a head case. Trading Standards probably get quite a few of these types and can spot them at the first call, so I wouldn’t worry at all. Might be best if the aggro continues to just give her some money back to get her off your back.

Those interlocks are pretty weak, that’s for sure. The old ones weren’t good but they were better than these.
Always worth a look to see if there are any burnt tracks or exploded triacs on module. May be a possible self repair if not too far from base.

Re: proline ceramic hob, cannot find this model, need a part

It’s worth trying a PNE at Connect if not already done. They do try to help and I think they deserve some credit for that after all the slagging they get from us about their price structures.

It could be worth asking here

He lists 4 oven elements for Baumatic. Also I think AZ may be just a reference to the colour.
