Beko fridges are safe. Electrolux group have had some serious issues across their range, a huge PR dept ensures media coverage kept to min.

You’ll find the Beko a perfect fit.

There running out of ways to reinvent the wheel, also if it ain’t broken don’t change it is a concept not entertained within the board room, constantly trying to improve mathematical means your going to go backwards.

Honestly with tenants it makes little difference, it’s gonna get blocked pump filters. I’d pick a Beko, very cheap parts, a monkey could fix it and cheap to replace.

It’s a known issue. Check location in case condensation is forming inside appliance.

The feed tube top of door seal can get blocked and tends to cause noise during wash as the circulation pump is running. If not teeth on direct drive may have worn.

My parents Phillips series 90 bought in the 80s retailed for same price then as today. Build costs have reduced. Brittania cookers, built in UK most people on production line are non UK born, so country of build hardly relevant in fact the UK does not have such a good rep for quality.

Use this site if your interested in what is made and where. I used to work in Zaragoza. If you zoom in on the photo or visit there you’ll notice no Bosch logos. Balay is Spain version of Hotpoint, got sold to Bosch.

Re: How can heavy restriction of repair information be legal

Cars cost thousands. Appliances don’t. There are a lot more independent garages than appliance repairers. It may not be right, but it’s a factor. Mechanics tend to have a qualification and are regulated, there are not the same controls for White goods people, only recently a qualification has been available to the industry and very few have it. Many brands who withhold info do so with the excuse that unqualified people could be let loose on equipment, that only their employees are qualified or suitably trained to work on. Obviously that frustrates independent engineers who whilst have no white goods qualifications relating to white goods, have received internal training or have an electrical qualification are perfectly competent. Although there is one major company sending out their delivery drivers to repair white goods, they get a few days install training and then their deemed competent to install cookers, now there let loose on repairs. The brands are not stupid, it suits there business but they also have a responsibility to there product reputation. There are also people who have no electrical related qualifications, I’ve meet people from ex bus drivers to dodgy car salesmen (he got banned from here), in fact there is nothing stopping a guy leaving Asda checkout on Friday and Monday he could be let loose on your washing machine.

Solenoid pump is a common problem on them. Worth looking at steamer tip as milk tends to block it up

Bowl in the sink with some fairy. Never fails, contains less bacteria and cheaper to run. Keeps ones hand soft too.

Follow manufactures instructions, the hood and the cooker will both give those min and must fall above the min, when two conflict, the greater should be used.

Re: cooker instal regulations (unit height above cooker)

It is a regulation, only it does not state “cupboards” but flammable materials, which include hoods.Every gas cooker installation instruction will give a min distance from burner and any found falling below that distance is deemed an AR situation and must be dealt with appropriately.

The big issue with Gas Regulations is its written by people for people with a brain, but as most trainers will tell you, there is a sub category of humans containing a unique level of intellect that interprets those regulations in a different way, which is why there are so many mistakes and cock ups, some of them epic-ally dumb.
