Very highly likely a switch…possibly door latch out of line too, But i dont think you will get anymore info than that.. to be fair it is VERY dangerous inside those machines… take it to a local repair centre..the cost should be reasonable.

Ya wouldn’t go far wrong with a Miele FF F/F.
Excellent Quality, and worth every penny in my opinion.
I aint a big fan of side by side.

Yes it looks like it possibly needs a new element.
If you have done everything correctly on your clock it obviously now has a O/C on the element…
What was the reason for the electric to trip in the first place?

Turning down the pressure a little more may help. in the past if I had one doing this and there was enough room under the worktop I used to adjust the two front feet to give the machine a very slight backwards tilt.

Sadly your machine has no original Hotpoint in it, its 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit, these will have a pump filter behind the prise off plastic kickstrip at the bottom front.

    Jim.

WOW i also had a hpt like this a couple of year ago… checked everything out all seemed ok… guy had had this machine a few years and he said its never happened before, he luckily stipulated that the water board had been around in the week digging up the road… can only assume whatever they done gave the inlet to hes house a pressure boost… so i also raised the front feet slightly and very slightly turned off hes cold feed supply… hes never wrang back! 🙂

I tried to reply to a post on here about half hour ago.. it gave me a 403 error page on submit… hit the back button and tried three times with same result.
    Cleared now though.

Also check the valve feed under the sink if its there.. might of been “knocked” when shes been in and out for things.. or inlet pipe kinked?

Only manage three games a week these days, you’ve no idea how theraputic lashing that little ball against the wall is after a day a the ‘coal face’.

It helps me keep fit enough to lift a washer down three or four steps into the back yard or garden of a customers house on a nice day. 😛 😉 😆

Funny thats what the missus says about my 2 😆
