I would be more inclined to check all the connectors to the module/pcb before i changed a board.. done a couple of w/pools with odd faults like you describe only to find it was a bad connection to the board!
    tighten em up then test.

How has she come to this conclusion?
Please remember the customers diagnosis of whats happening as to a fault can very often be misguiding until u actually get to the job yourself only to discover its something completely different.

If her clothes are coming out with big dirty burn holes in i guess shes spot on, best go check it out first, may need no parts?

for a bit of rubber. and LJ how are we sposed to make a margin on that srp either lol!

had a thought tho, some of the latest samsung washers have been given 5yr promo P&L warranties. and often theyve had 2 yr ones too so might be worth digging out that reciept as im not familiar with that actual model but might be worth a go at blagging a free call out 😛

Dunno if any manufacturer would guarantee a door gasket with a fault of that nature developing?

And am sure if i went out and quoted 70 to 80 to replace on the same machine i mite get branded a rip off merchant unless the customer tried sourcing the part themselves and re-alised the cost?

    Re: Old Machine’s

what i mean is ( damn its hard to type so quick with my daughter yanking on my trouser legs )… around my area there is domestic appliance repair shops that stock nothing but the cheapest brands of appliance ( yes i know its supply and demand ) they will gladly sell a low end product saying its all singing and dancing ..then just out of warranty it actually does start singing and dancing.. customer rings the same shop.. ” well you did go for a cheap brand” says the salesman/engineer..
But he could possibly be hoping then to go repair it or even replace it again…i see some of these shops with 2 to 3 high all low end.
Also there is tradesmen that pick and choose the job.. like one customer told me he rang a local shop before he wrang me to go look at hes built in d/w.. only to get the resonse ” ya jokin arnt ya mate..i can repair 2 washing machines the time it will take to get that out from under your worktop”.
Hence i went and done it… i wonder who will be getting called when hes washer goes wrong?

I think a lot of the time its mind games to get progress or a decent name for yorself etc… and with comments like that he gave the customer… i dunno how they get the work.. but they are.. a lot more than me. 😕
