    Re: Old Machine’s

I wasnt being malicious or anything bud.. i just think sometimes without realising it we tend to contridict ourselves…after all there is trademen who will try and stear the public into a quality product and then there is also high street stores that stock nothing but low end to “get that sale” different methods for different companies thats all.

Re: Neff S4453N0GB/13 no water going in

There will be no one who could confirm this on a forum i wouldnt of thought …

We do try to help in stearing the public in the right direction but to ask someone to confirm it i guess maybe this is why u have not had a quick answer.. if we all could confirm a fault 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} on a forum i think we would be inclined to make money from doing so without having to leave the house.

You may want to be a little more specific in what happened..when it happened..things like that so we could “guide” you a little better?

    Re: Old Machine’s

I prefer to do my upmost to make sure it lasts another few years.. this way when a member of the customers family have a issue then im sure i would be reccomended tenfold..
I know what u mean but i don’t see how going back to the same machine many times in a year or two actually looks good for business… wether it be a different fault or not?
Just my way of thinking but yes u are also right in what you are saying….
But then again we all have or seem to have a gripe about low end products and the enviroment etc?

Update… bearings gone but worse of all… she had this machine 20 years.. brother in law apparently plumbed it in for her… turned out the cold feed at machine end has been leaking ever since.. what a mess we were to discover.. new machine i will be quoting for…. trouble is, because of its location shes asking if there is a machine right hand opening but more so controls on left side of facia, anyone know if such a machine exists with left hand controls? never been asked for that before. 😕

Years ago i was at a customers house doing a tub repair at 1AM.
That turned into a 4 year relationship. 😛

that ended 6 years ago… hope her machine is still giving her a good service… I ain’t. 😉

I never put anything on and go to bed.. nor go out.. i know the idea of AUTO’S was so u can put it on and leave it to it… something major happens it could cost u as much as your house ( as in burning down ).
Same applies to holidays and the leaving their machines turned on at the water … could possibly come back to their very own indoor swimming pool.

same way u would check a car wheel bearing as with regard to tipping up and down.. not revolving it left and right as that what the drum does do.
Also im not clued up and the particular model… if you popped the top off is there any restraint springs ? could have a snapped one… happens lots with a hotpoint.

    Re: whirlpool live case

is it a actual shock or static?
I know this sounds silly but a few times people have brought a henry vac to me scared because they were getting shocks from the plastic flxible hose…. a polish with furniture polish cured it every time… ya cannot get a shock from a plastic tube? ( electrical shock that is ) but its different as it metal screw your saying… does she get a shock from any other part of the cabinet?

    Re: crack in hob

Can assure u i know what u are saying..
    However..
The said customer is less than a mile away from me..
Forwarned me they didnt want to spend more than £100 and if it was the case didnt want it doing.
I Didnt contemplate it would be needing a element..
Didnt really need a new front plate seal..
But due to the fact at trade costs of these parts i didnt hesitate and carry on doing the job because still making £40 labour to me is better than making nothing at all?
And had a beutiful kitchen and nice beige carpets yet i could swing a cat in their kitchen.
I used a hose pipe and a scrubing brush in the out drum to flush it out whilst it was slightly tipped forward.. lots of mess all over the yeard..something i dont think these proud home owners would of liked me to do on their well beutiful patio… i wipe out with a cloth wouldnt of been suitable given the state of the drum.. yet it cost them less than half the cost of a new machine and in my opinion once done was as good as new for another 5 years… explianed to them why it was in such a state..
One very happy customer, one less machine at the tip?
