Re: Zanussi ZWD1662W & AEG Lavamat Turbo 16830 dryer pro

AEG and Zanussi are both Electrolux.

The electronics will be pretty much identical.

It’s very strange that you’d have this fault on 3 machines though.

    Re: COMET vs CURRYS

It’s all relative though, for the number of customers they get compared to the independents then the complaints will be higher.

I’m not siding with either here, just think there’s more to it than customers make out!

(Believe me, i’d rather use an independent all the way.)

    Re: COMET vs CURRYS

Although i agree with a lot of the stuff on here.

It’s all down to the individual stores, the store i work at is great, everyone knows their stuff, don’t hassle customers, and generally do the best they can to help.

I’ve always found Currys to be very ‘on your back’, even back in the days when i used to work for them!

Comet’s service policy is better than Currys though. Passing the customers off to the manufacturer isn’t fair in my opinion.

They’re not a very big seller to be honest, we’ve sold far less of them than equivalent priced Bosch, LG, AEG and the likes.

Although we do frequently get requests for a matching tumble dryer or washer dryer.

    Cheers Chris,

Any ideas about whether the transformer comes complete with the little PCB inside the base?

Also, what’s pricing like? I’ll email Dave.

    Cheers,

Electrolux in the States maybe. Over here the Frigidaire name is owned by HI Group based near Wakefield and I think you will find most of the kit is Chinese in origin or sometimes Gorenje.

As is Fridgemaster, they’re part of HI too.

Re: Help with Indesit WIL 133

A cheaper option for this fault would be to call Comet Service on 08705 425 425, they have all the Indesit WashDoctor software and facilities to reprogram the machine, cheaper than Indesit themselves.

Oh, and you don’t need to be under guarantee or buy the washer from Comet for them to come out.

Ken, you’re missing the point, if it looks pretty, people will buy.

    Very interesting though!

    Re: “Thin Washing Machines”

Not really a good machine but the Indesit WIL103, 133, 143, 153, 163…. are all 540mm deep, as are most of the Beko’s and i think the forums own ISE machine is too? 🙂

    Plenty of choice out there.

The red led should be flashing while the knob is turning, count the flashes between the pauses and post back here 🙂
