    Mike.

That was my thought Mike, some mixed messages from BSH group there 😯 Washing at 60deg instead of 40 will increase your kwhr per load by 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} or so…thats a huge demand increase across the country 😯

Base load capacity is going to shrink over the coming years so somethings got to give 😕

My wife just rang to say that Gavin from Autoglass had just been and injected his resin into her crack… I’m not normally suspicious but I’ve got the bloody car 😯

Yep, it would seem their gas Engineers cant fit integrated diswashers very well.. £80 fee and all 😯

Had to laugh at the way they’ve got a pic of poor scruffy little Clive hung permanently in the studio ‘rogues gallery’ now 🙂
Almost feel sorry for him, he must be unable to even go to his local now… hopefully 😉

Amused that one cant use the word ‘p*ssy’ on this site without it being blocked.. 🙂 What if I wanted to talk about my cat?? 😕 🙂

I know what youre saying eastlmark, we shouldn’t sell ourselves so short and all that, but to be honest I was glad that was mentioned on the programme, at least they suggested there is the possibility of getting an honest repair done and we’re not all like Mr Bramell.

Unfortunately we’re now going to have 3 weeks of punters staring over our shoulder and expecting a bill of no more than £30. :rolls:

I just wish they hadn’t referred to him as an ‘Engineer’, he’s obviously just an extremely dishonest scruffy little sh*t whos stumbled upon a way to take hundreds of £ off people in their own homes :rolls:

Oh well, I guess our trade was due a visit from Matt and the gang… tis been a while.
But that little toss*r cant really be considered part of any trade IMHO 🙁

Condenser ducting blocked, NTC wires broken at ducting and intermittent open circ valve coil are the usual suspects on recent ‘lux washer dryers Micky.

Yeah, I think it has indeed come to the end of its useful life by the sound of it.
They’re gonna pay me to fit a new one so no big deal anyway, thanks for the replies 😉

Its only 18 months old according to the lovely Claire 😯 I think we all know the type of punter she is.. Indesit/ Beko gear everywhere no doubt. but 18 months of max chav abuse still shouldn’t make a machine fail so dangerously IMO.
Makes you realise how much kenetic energy is actually stored in a few kilos of wet washing on a fast spin though 😯

I think the ‘watchers’ bug me more these days than they ever have. Its one thing being watched doing a repair you’ve done a million times before and can do with your eyes closed like old Hotpoint carbons or whatever, but these days, lid off a 2 year old Zanussi scratching ones head trying to figure out if the PCB’s shagged or not and feeling the hot breath of your punter on your right lug hole 👿 God give me strength.

I really dont want any more money out of them, I just want to think of a way of saying will you PLEASE f*ck right off!!..in a polite fashion that wont cause offence! 😯

Had exactly the same thing to deal with a couple of months ago, a penny in two of the legs in fact! Catching the dryer air duct just like yours. Bearings got stuck on the shaft too so turned into a lengthy job :rolls:

I think it is still popular with the older generation, a lot of old folks have absolutely no interest in computers IMO.
They are generally my fave customer type too.. never leave the house, so very few wasted trips 🙂 cups of tea & possible home baking, usually very prompt payers.

Think YP are simply gonna have to sack their reps though.. its a totally outdated model.
(and i cant fekkin stand ’em)
If we could just book the ad online & pay a lot less they might keep my custom for another few years. 😐

Re: Boy dies in Tumble Dryer horror

Poor, poor wee lad whatever happened. Not the first time this has occured either, not sure what the solution is beyond the legal requirement for a door switch.
A door obviously needs a certain resistance to opening or a load of wet washing would constantly be landing on the floor.

Hard to believe an everyday object like a dryer could cause such horror.
