ParticipantRe: Hotpoint BFI680 Hose clips
Martins right, 5mm width is more suitable, I have the odd 5mm type made by Oetiker, finding a supplier of these is the problem. Oetiker make the crimp on bands which are the factory fitted type, anyone using these?

Plenty of suppliers of 9mm wide clips available, this one seems to be quite reasonable in their pricing

Yeh I remember the post from a couple of years back, there have been the odd posting recently , I thought someone might have sussed some clips out from other makes. The last pump I did I used Jubilee’s, not the best but got it going, just like to get some smaller ones.

Suppressor, Bosch are mucking about with the position of the suppressors. Latest type is separate not the plug in type, but it should be there. One I fitted last week for the same problem was part no 608104. The little begger took some finding 🙁 Hope this helps

Generaly the older generation, the youger version couldn’t give a toss. I usually offer to wipe the machine down for the “old one’s” while they put the kettle on and get out the “richteas”
it keeps themout of the road, just have to watch they don’t plug in the machine your working on intead of the kettle 😆maltheviking

So I’m thinking they reserved this treat especially for Mal to discover maybe? 😈
Sounds about right there Martin I often wonder what I have done wrong in life to deserve this turmoil called the domestic appliance industry
Is the “Manual” you are quoting from, the said item I am looking for 😉 or are you talking “user manual”?maltheviking

Opticle water sensor is fixed to the metering tank, used to be a full tank to repair but Connect are doing just the sensor, their number, 5045174626675 but out of stock £18 ish.
If I was you mate then I would check the connecting plug to the sensor first maybe give it a little “nip” :eeek: to tighten it upmaltheviking

I think the reed switch “oxidises”, how I don’t know as the are hermetically sealed more likely it’s a cheap and nasty Chinese item

The book is available from most Electrical Wholesalers & well worth the money. There is a second edition out so watch what you buy 😉 cheapest is probably “Amazon”
