Come on Paul I know we are all a bit of a social worker in this trade but get a grip man. We cannot be judge and jury on people’s lives and the cards they have been dealt, if they are so hard up then they usually know how to get the social to help.

You are in business to provide a profesional service and IMO you are not doing this, yes give them the correct information and point out the dangers if repairs are not done fully, BUT do yourself a favor and don’t give them the option for you not to act legaly and safely, if someone did get hurt do you honestly think they would give a damm about you?, especially in this claim society.

And No I have never knowingly left a door lock bypassed

    Re: beko spins immediately

Generally it would run up to full speed on wash as well as spin, triacs are easily changed if you know what you are doing, if you are not sure then send the board away for checking 😯

Re: Testing or Bypassing Door Interlock

It all depends on the type of lock, you have to ascertain which connections are the switching circuit or it goes bang 😳 usually the timer/programmer, PCB 😯

A wire link with male spade connectors comes in handy. 😉

probably best left alone if you are not sure 😥

As “Happycack” says, you don’t know who has been at the appliance before you, SO HOW DO YOU know it’s safe? you are not Corgi reg and I presume you don’t have the relevent test equiptment, as I said, I stay well clear.

Will do Bob, although the pecker seems solid enough and square with the frame.
Would you believe it there was power cut as I was working on it, the weather is a bit wild up here at the moment 😥

    Hi Ken

When you explain it like that some of it makes sense. 😕 😉

As a matter of interest what percentage of the membership prefer to remain “hidden” from big brother ❓

    Re: UKWG Member Profiles

I agree with anonimity with regards employees but how many members are freelance. My opinion is stand up and be counted is this world, life is short. OK you may make an arse of yourself occasionally but who cares it just adds up to the tapestry of life :rolls: 😳

Why hide your profile, most individuals is this business go to great lengths and expence advertising their business 😕

I presume that unless the individual displays his or hers personel info then only the moderators know their full details in the fisrt place.

By the way Macmini “we care about you” 😉
