Re: Cannon C60GTCF main oven problem

My knowledge of gas cookers is next to zilch but could one or more of the control knobs be activating the ignition switch. OR maybe the control panel itself is misaligned in such a way as to be operating the switch???

If you mean waste water is syphoning back into the machine then yes the flap valve (aka non-return valve) is at fault here.

Ah yes, a very good point. 😉

Intermittent heating would indeed indicate a dry joint on the control unit board, the heater relay pins often the trouble. So it’s worth checking the PCB.

If that isn’t the problem then the water flow diverter unit ( the device that switches the flow alternately between upper and lower spray arms) could be jammed. If that were so then only one spray arm would be working, the other devoid of any water. Symptoms there would be that only one basket cleaned perfectly the other not so.

What difference does it make whether they’re made in Poland, Turkey, Spain or Germany? A Bosch is a Bosch no matter who puts it together. I’m sure Hans in Hamburg is delighted that Mohammad in Turkey can put one of his machines together and ship it to Swaffham anyway. What’s the problem here?

Sorry but nothing ‘down south’. A costly trip north the only option I’m afraid. 🙁

Replace the worn out motor brushes.

You never mentioned to us whether or not you have regularly cleaned the capacitor filters behind the service door. Likely as not bacteria will form in that area unless you do so.

The detritus in the top corner of the matrix (adjacent the air valve) could be the problem though it would have to be in quite a state for that to be the case. In order to double check the whole drain system is clear, remove the flap valve in the sump, put the drain hose onto the cold tap and flush a blast of water into the tub. If that flows in that direction OK then that confirms the matrix is not the issue. The pump itself or the flap valve could be at fault.

Sounds like the coupling onto the sink drain is the problem.

To clear the drain hose in situ is a messy business but as long as that outlet coupling is cleared first I use a compressed air sink plunger gun. Pump up the pressure, place the end onto the disconnected pump end and ‘boom’ all the muck is blasted down the drain. (You might want to put the plughole in first lest the kitchen ceiling gets covered 😉 )

Interesting. So to prove the door is required presumably all you need do is trip the interlock with the door open, and the code clears?

The door interlock usually is the only reason for E01 to show. Have you changed the lock?

Re: Neff Dishwasher not draining properly

First if all it is true to say your machine is well old and likely as not the pump itself is well worn. Those pumps are good for 5 or so years daily use, beyond that every wash a bonus.

The rubber flap valve between pump and sump may also be perished.

The drain outlet needs checking if it shares a coupling with the sink.
