It needs a new Sensor -NTC (part no : 00613753 £7.70 direct from Bosch’s dedicated spares web site) which is located in the front bearing support/ front ducting unit.

Don’t go upsetting the traveling community or you’ll get more than just a brick through your living room window. Avoiding is best I find.

It would be best to flush the salt/rinse aid mix out with hot (not boiling) water. Otherwise the mechanical dispensing device will seize up and no longer dispense rinse aid. Avoid allowing the overspill getting into the dishwasher tub with the aid of a towel or two placed close by to soak up the mess.

Mark’s device sounds pretty archaic compared to what’s around these days. Although I hadn’t heard of Payleven until now. £60 from Screwfix for a reader, 2.75{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} per transaction. Paperless receipts via email and only works with iOS phones….. Hmm?

Pitfalls? Only carrying and using gas cylinders, refrigerator gases and such like needs to be declared. Minimum £1m liability coverage.

All the usual middle men merchants. You don’t need me to name them.

Err? You’re already in the trade yeah? Otherwise you carry such a device anyway and realise its potential so I don’t figure your question?

PaulG wrote:Accounts (are there apps or software we can use that logs everything your accountant needs to file your returns?)

    Accountants use Sage

    PaulG wrote:Who to bank with

Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, Santander or Coutts are best.

Main board so check all connections to it as they may have corroded given its location.

The heater thermal fuse (aka TOC) is rated at 140C so a replacement shouldn’t be too difficult to source.

    Edit: £7.36 from eBay 😉

Drain hose option NOT available on this model. You have to empty the condensate drawer manually.

Re: How to Choose an Induction Hob

Never ask a shop floor salesman how it works or what utensils to use, they usually haven’t a clue (well not in Currys or John Lewis anyway). They will answer yes to all your questions in order to convince you that you cannot possible survive unless you buy one now.

Induction hobs have been around for many years now and are increasing in popularity all the while. But one fact remains, and covers all makes and model variants, in that their failure rate is high and very often expensive to repair too.

It is a very novel way to fry and boil I must admit but not the choice of professionals, they use gas. And the novelty wears off when they keep going wrong in the midst of a fry up Sunday brunch!

That’s what it shows on your drawing there Dave. Presumably we are talking an EIKA hot plate here and the part number you can confirm for us? I would hate to be talking at cross purposes. 😉

    Re: Neff hob T1871NO/04

Mark is correct, the replacement ring comes without the ‘residual heat indicator’ connections. Presumably from your photo you are fitting an EIKA in place of a Ceramaspeed. The part number should be 00674650 and the connections shown at the bottom of the page should be followed wire by wire (e.g on the L1 terminals 2a on Ceramaspeed goes onto 2 on EIKA etc)

    😀
