…….but on the plus side, once the clock is removed the hood can be hooked on the vacant nail and then plugged into the socket just below the (stolen?) VW badge.
Result ❗

Do NOT join the wires together, the microprocessor will object most violently. Not a bodge that will help especially so as new interlocks are cheap whilst programmer modules aren’t. 😉

I would replace the display unit personally speaking. I can’t imagine their fixable. Replacing the whole machine because of it seems a little extreme.

Let’s just stick to the subject of this safety recall and be thankful of all appliance weaknesses as that’s what keeps us in business. Long may crappy products dominate and recalls come in abundance.

It’s the factory test point you’re looking at. Display dead, then more probably the display unit at fault. (Especially so if you’re in the habit of leaving the display on for hours)

Yes that’s the one though I’m curious to know how you have access to their trade website?( £67.44 direct from Bosch by the way. 😉 )

I refer to the PCB on the Control Module. In the trade we replace the complete unit. If you intend buying one from eBay do be certain sure you get the correct unit for the model you have recently discovered. (Buying control units from 3rd party sources is a risky business)…. Just saying.

It is not uncommon for a dispenser solenoid to go faulty and pop the triac on the PCB. (Little black square device looks a bit like a transistor. When faulty they blow up).
