Also those Stepper Timers are prone to failure, mostly due to weak internal latch spring I believe? Cheap and easy to replace though!

Re: Bosch WTA3200 not drying on auto cycle

Most likely the Control Board is the fault and sadly the components on it are not individually replaceable. At least as far as Bosch and the like are concerned. If you can effect a DIY repair on that board, then that will be a bonus as replacement boards aren’t cheap 🙁

I suspect you knew all along the outcome of that anyway? 🙄

A domestic motorised wind tunnel, heaterless form of drying clothes is the only true eco-friendly answer that would be adaptable within the 820 X 600 X 600mm box I reckon. 😉

Go away and design within that criteria my friend and your fortune is assured 😀

Bloody brilliant!, my Partfinder disc went belly-up today 👿

£82.25 for another one (including my laptop access)! 😯

Bad news indeed right now perhaps, but I may have good news to impart for the future regarding ‘copywrite’ 😀

(Ken, do you remember my contact in NY on the problem he had? Well I have maintained contact with him, as it happens 😉 )

    washvac_wayne wrote:Yes we do

Well blow me down, 2 parts that were out of stock from my order 2 weeks ago, actually arrived today unannounced 😀

So my conclusion from this is that Parts Center (like Masterpart and others) will eventually send whatever parts that were out of stock from your original order, as and when they become available 🙂

Now that is even better and a credit in this case to Parts Center because Wash Vac always ‘held back’ backorders until you ‘re-ordered’ 🙁 A policy that always pi**ed me off anyway, especially as I don’t order often enough and always hoped that parts would be sent me whenever they became available.

So, it seems that a ‘back order system’ is indeed in place, as Wayne said, it’s just that I cannot see any reference to this on their site as to what is going on?

Customer friendly?…Not by a long shot! And there’s so very much they need to address before they can hope to claw back lost custom 🙁

OK so I figured out that the backorder system works. How about my next gripe…’Stock Holding’…..why the hell do I have to put in my Postcode to be told that the local Parts Centre tin hut is out of stock? My local rep ( who has since vanished for some reason?) advised me to type in the postcode box “DL10” and that gives the current stockholding at their main depot….brilliant, it works too, but as I order from the main depot in the first place, can’t they tell me that?

Re: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?

I had the privilege of meeting yet another new customer this morning… Mrs Twisted-Knickers. 😕

As she showed me to her kitchen I sensed ‘an air of expectation’ about her general demeanour. A kind of sixth sense if you like that one developes after dealing with, as I have, customers like her for 4 decades now. 8)

Her Zanussi built-in Oven had a worn fan (which I subsequently replaced later as it happens) she dissappeared into another room to let me get on with the repair, or so I thought 😕

Time passed and I called her into the kitchen to show her oven was working now at presented her with the bill for my services. She studied the bill carefully then proclaimed that she wished only to pay for half of my labour charge. 😯

When I asked “Why’s that then?” she declared that I had been in her house a total of 20 minutes and yet during that time my mobile phone rang 3 times and that I spent a total of 10 minutes talking to other customers on the phone and in so doing was not attending to her oven. Therefore she concluded and insisted that she was only prepaired to pay half, and stood with hands on hips looking very angry. 👿

I meanwhile resorted to my many years of dealing with such ‘types’ and also brought into force skills derived from attending lessons in the John Prescott School of Diplomacy. By simply opening the oven door, whereupon she could clearly see I hadn’t put it all back together yet and with certain air of extreme complacency I declared:

…. “Fair enough!…… I trust you will be able to complete the rest of the repair yourself then?” :rotfl:
